Sergio Llull intends to continue his career beyond the 2025-26 season and hopes to sign another extension with Real Madrid. The 38-year-old captain told BasketNews that he still feels good physically and still has the same excitement to keep playing.
“And hopefully they renew me for another year so I can keep enjoying this sport and competing for Real Madrid,” he claimed to BasketNews.
Llull is currently under contract through the end of the 2025-26 campaign, following the renewal officially announced by Real Madrid in July 2025. A further extension would take him into his 21st season with the club, adding another milestone to one of the most remarkable careers in European basketball.
From a EuroLeague perspective, a new deal would also move him closer to another longevity record with a single club. For Llull, it would be yet another chapter in a career built entirely at the highest level of European basketball.
