Serbian basketball player Boriša Simanić lost a kidney due to an injury he sustained at the end of a game against South Sudan. Initially, it seemed that the kidney’s function was intact, but subsequent complications led to another surgery on September 3rd.
Simanić is currently in a hospital in Manila, and his recovery path remains uncertain. Although the recovery period is expected to last several months, his career is reportedly not at risk.
