Panathinaikos is making a historic and unprecedented investment in Greek basketball of more than 50 million euros, according to a website SDNA.
This figure includes more than 35 million for the team’s roster, technical staff and operating costs, while another 15 million is earmarked for the first phase of the renovation of OAKA to NBA standards.
This investment, requested by owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos, is aimed at consolidating Panathinaikos as the number one brand in European basketball.
After winning the EuroLeague and the Greek title last season, Panathinaikos signed players such as Lorenzo Brown and Cedi Osman.
