Givova Scafati has made a late-season addition, signing Luka Sakota, a 198 cm guard with dual Canadian and Croatian citizenship. The 24-year-old arrives after a standout rookie campaign in Finland with Tampereen Pyrinto, where he averaged 18 points per game, shooting 57.5% from two-point range and 42.2% from three.
Sakota played college basketball at Harvard University and Northeastern, posting solid numbers and showing strong character and reliability. Scafati’s sporting director Eugenio Agostinelli praised his offensive versatility and physicality, saying he’ll fit well into the team’s system.
Sakota is expected to arrive in Scafati tonight, Monday, March 31, and will join team practice on Tuesday under head coach Marco Ramondino.
