Celtics signs Jabari Parker to two-year deal, waive Moe Wagner

The Boston Celtics have signed forward Jabari Parker to a 2-year deal, as reported by The Athletic’s Shams Charania. Parker briefly appeared in 3 games for the Sacramento Kings this season before being waived last month.

To make room for Parker, the Celtics will waive German forward Moe Wagner, who arrived to Boston from Washington at the trade deadline. Wagner averaged 1.2 ppg and 2.1 rpg for Boston after a good stint with the Wizards.

Knicks reportedly consider adding Mike James

Mike James could be back in the NBA soon.

Per NY Post, With an open roster spot after John Henson’s contract expired Thursday at midnight, the Knicks are leaning toward making a backcourt addition instead of another big man, according to league sources.

One point guard on their radar is longtime European standout Mike James, who has played the last two seasons for CSKA Moscow, shooting over 40 percent from 3-point range.

Warriors, James Wiseman evaluating options on meniscus injury

The Golden State Warriors and James Wiseman are still evaluating their options for his meniscus injury. Warriors coach Steve Kerr was non-committal when asked Monday whether Wiseman’s season was over.

“I don’t know that,” Kerr said before the Warriors hosted the Denver Nuggets. “We are in the process of getting multiple opinions. He had an MRI and so we’re having multiple experts look at the MRI to determine what’s next. We don’t have any timetable yet. The biggest thing is making sure James is OK. He’s obviously had a lot of adversity this rookie season, with the wrist injury, now the knee injury and of course missing training camp, not having a summer league. He’s really gutted through a lot of difficulty. … And so this is yet another obstacle that’s been put in front of him.”

“We’re obviously very thin in the front court. That’s obviously something that we will be looking at as we go forward and once we get word on what James’ prognosis is”, Kerr added, when asked if the team is considering the signing of a center.

Urbas Fuenlabrada is close to finalizing an agreement with Cheick Diallo, Chema de Lucas reports.
The former Kansas big man played 6 games for Avtodor Saratov this season, with averages of 7.6 points and 5.1 rebounds.

Diallo played 180 NBA games in the previous 4 seasons with New Orleans and Phoenix.

New Timberwolves ownership group reportedly plans to keep team in Minneapolis

A deal for Glen Taylor to sell the Minnesota Timberwolves to Alex Rodriguez and Mark Lore is expected to be completed in the near future after the investment group signed a letter of intent last weekend. According to The Athletic, the plan is for the Wolves to remain in Minnesota.

The Timberwolves would likely be forced to pay a relocation fee of anywhere between $500M to $1B should they decide to move and that move is approved. The Wolves currently play in the 14th large media market in the country while Seattle is 12th.

Arkansas guard Moses Moody announced on ESPN’s The Jump that he will enter the 2021 NBA Draft.
Moody ended his freshman year for the Razorbacks with 16.8 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, shooting 42% from the field, 36% from long range and 81% from the foul line.
He’s the No.21 prospect in ESPN’s Top 100.
