According to K.C. Johnson,, the Chicago Bulls have decided to decline the 3 million Team Option present in Ryan Arcidiacono’s contract.

 

Arcidiacono last season produced averages of 3.1 points and 1.2 assists in 10 minutes.

Indiana, Miami and Golden State among teams interested in Nicolas Batum

Nicolas Batum was among the bright spots last season for the Los Angeles Clippers, averaging 8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists and a steal while playing an important role for coach Ty Lue.

Now the Clippers would like to re-sign him, but according to Chris Haynes, Batum would be on the radar of several teams, including Miami, Indiana and Golden State.

Heat reportedly picking up $19.4 million TO on Goran Dragic’s contract

The Miami Heat are picking up the $19.4 million Team Option on Goran Dragic’s contract.

The Slovenian pointguard last year averaged over 13 points and 4 assist per game.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Miami Heat are declining the $15M team option on Andre Iguodala’s contract.

The veteran swingman last year averaged 4.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.2 assist per game.

Minnesota, San Antonio, OKC among teams reportedly interested in Lauri Markkanen

According to Michael Scotto, Lauri Markkanen and the Chicago Bulls could part ways after 4 seasons.

The parties would be open to a sign and trade deal (Markkanen is a Restricted Free Agent), with the Minnesota Timberwolves particularly interested in this solution.

The reporter adds the San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder among the teams interested in the Finnish forward.

Clippers’ Serge Ibaka opts-in on $9.7M player option

Serge Ibaka will exercise his $9.7 million player option with the LA Clippers for 2021-22, reports Shams Charania of The Athletic.

After spending three-and-a-half seasons with the Toronto Raptors, and winning the 2019 NBA title, Ibaka joined the Clippers last season. In 41 games (39 starts), he averaged 11.1 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game.

Pistons to waive Cory Joseph, Deividas Sirvydis

The Detroit Pistons have decided to release Cory Joseph and Deividas Sirvydis, Shams Charania reports.

Joseph had another year of contract for about 12.6 million, but only guaranteed for 2.4.

Sirvydis, the No.37 pick of the 2019 Draft, last year played just 133 total minutes in 20 games.

Celtics Acquire Josh Richardson from Mavericks

The Boston Celtics have acquired guard Josh Richardson from the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for center Moses Brown, the team announced today.

A six-year NBA veteran, Richardson, 27, has posted career averages of 12.3 points (42.7% FG, 35.8% 3-PT, 83.2% FT), 3.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.1 steals, 0.6 blocked shots, and 30.6 minutes in 373 career games (299 starts) with Miami, Philadelphia, and Dallas. He has averaged at least 10.0 points in each of his last five seasons from 2015-16 to 2020-21, including a career-high 16.6 points per game with Miami in 2018-19.

Richardson produced 12.1 points (42.7% FG, 33.0% 3-PT, 91.7% FT), 3.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.0 steals, and 30.3 minutes in 59 games (56 starts) with the Mavericks last season, marking the fourth time over the last five seasons he has recorded at least 10.0 points and 1.0 steals. The Oklahoma native was one of four NBA players to average 10.0 points and 1.0 steals while shooting at least 91.0% from the free throw line in 2020-21 (Paul/Curry/Irving).

Acquired from Oklahoma City as part of a three-player deal earlier this offseason on June 18, Brown has averaged 7.3 points (54.0% FG), and 7.6 rebounds in 52 career games over two seasons with Portland and Oklahoma City.

New Orleans Pelicans extend Qualifying Offer to Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart

According to Andrew Lopez, the New Orleans Pelicans have extended the Qualifying Offer to Lonzo Ball and Josh Hart.

 

For Ball, the Qualifying Offer is worth over 14 million, while Hart’s is just over 5 million.

The Pelicans will have the ability to match any offer sheet signed by the two players.

Bucks: Bobby Portis reportedly declining $3.8M player option

Bobby Portis is declining his $3.8M player option with the Milwaukee Bucks, Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

Last year the forward averaged 11.4 points and 7 rebounds in regular season and 8.8 points with 5 rebounds in the playoffs.

 

DeMar DeRozan, Rudy Gay, Melo Anthony among players reportedly interested in joining Lakers

According to Jake Fischer, there are several players ready to turn down more substantial offers in order to join the Los Angeles Lakers and try to win the next NBA title.

The reporter points out the names of DeMar DeRozan, Rudy Gay and Carmelo Anthony.

After the agreement with Washington for Russell Westbrook, the Lakers have under contract the point guard plus LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Marc Gasol, plus Alfonzo McKinnie with a non-guaranteed.

Three-way involving Celtics, Kings and Hawks trade sends Tristan Thompson to Sacramento

The Boston Celtics have agreed to trade Tristan Thompson to the Sacramento Kings as part of a three-way trade with the Atlanta Hawks. Wright will be routed to the Hawks, while Boston will acquire Kris Dunn.

News of the trade has been reported first by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. This move also gives the Celtics, who traded for Josh Richardson using their TPE, some luxury tax flexibility as they attempt to re-sign Evan Fournier.

Celtics acquire Josh Richardson from Mavericks using TPE

The Boston Celtics have agreed to acquire Josh Richardson from the Dallas Mavericks using their $11 million trade exception, reports Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Richardson is exercising his $11.6 million player option for the 21-22 season for the deal. The trade will be finalized on Saturday as Richardson’s salary jumps when the league season rolls over and the TPE would no longer be sufficient to accommodate his contract.

Jazz reportedly preparing a 3-year, $75M offer for Mike Conley

The Utah Jazz are preparing a three-year, $75M offer to Mike Conley in free agency, sources tell Marc Stein.

The Jazz traded for Conley during the 2019 off-season, and he made his first All-Star team this past season as an injury replacement. Utah traded away Derrick Favors after the draft to clear salary to help facilitate re-signing Conley.
