Per ESPN, The San Antonio Spurs and Goran Dragic are expected to negotiate a contract buyout in the coming week, clearing the way for a formidable list of free-agent suitors for Dragic that now includes the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors, sources told ESPN.

The Lakers and Warriors are planning to join several rivals, including the LA Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, Chicago Bulls and Brooklyn Nets, in aggressive pursuit of Dragic, sources said.

Dragic is emerging as the top player on the buyout market, with contending teams confident that he has stayed in excellent condition while working out in South Florida and can contribute in short order on a new team.

The Dallas Mavericks have reached an agreement on a trade with the Washington Wizards.

Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans are headed to Texas, in exchange for Kristaps Porzingis.

The point guard is in the first year of a three-year deal worth around 54 million, partially guaranteed in the last season.

Dinwiddie (12.6 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 5.8 apg) struggled to find the right chemistry with Bradley Beal.

Porzingis leaves Dallas after 3 seasons. This year the Latvian big man was averaging 19.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game.

Spurs trade Derrick White to Celtics for Josh Richardson, Romeo Langford, first-round pick

The Boston Celtics have agreed to a trade with the San Antonio Spurs, with Derrick White joining coach Udoka’s team in exchange for a package with Josh Richardson and a first-round pick.

Colorado’s product is in the first year of the $ 70 million four-year contract extension signed with Spurs.

This season, White is averaging 14.4 points and 5.6 assists per game.

Hornets offer PJ Washington, Kai Jones, first-round pick to Spurs for Jakob Poeltl

The Charlotte Hornets, looking for a center in the last hours before the trade deadline, made an intriguing offer to the San Antonio Spurs for Jakob Poeltl.

According to Michael Scotto the Hornets offered PJ Washington, rookie Kai Jones and a future first round pick for the Austrian center.

Scotto also adds Bulls, Raptors and Mavs among the teams interested in Poeltl.

This year, the Austrian center is producing 13.2 points, 9 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.7 blocks per game.

Raptors trade Dragic to Spurs for Young

The Toronto Raptors are sending Goran Dragic to the San Antonio Spurs.
The Spurs will move Thaddeus Young to the Canadian team.

The Raptors are trading Dragic and protected 2022 first-round picks to the Spurs for Thad Young, Drew Eubanks and a 2022 second-round pick via Pistons, sources tell ESPN. Pick is protected 1-14 in 2022; 1-13 in 2023 and would turn into two seconds beyond that.

Juancho Hernangomez traded to Jazz in 3-team deal

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports the details of a trade between Spurs, Jazz and Trail Blazers, when we are now 24 hours from the NBA trade deadline.

Utah Jazz takes Nickeil Alexander-Walker from Portland and Juancho Hernangomez from Spurs.

San Antonio gets Tomas Satoransky from Portland and a second round pick from the Jazz, while the Blazers get Joe Ingles and Elijah Hughes from Utah plus a future second round pick.

Ingles leaves the Jazz after 7 and a half seasons. Utah strengthens the second unit with the arrival of two players who have not yet managed to make their mark in the NBA.

This year Alexander-Walker  averaged 12.9 points and 2.8 assists per game with the Pelicans.

The Jazz will be Hernangomez’s third team this season, after Celtics (18 games) and Spurs (5).

Los Angeles Lakers feel urgency to make changes before the deadline as reported by ESPN.

LeBron James had a hand in L.A.’s roster construction in the last offseason, consulting with Lakers vice president of basketball operations and general manager Rob Pelinka on everything from the Westbrook trade with the Washington Wizards to free-agent signings. 

Pelinka will continue to collaborate with James leading up to the deadline in an attempt to improve the Lakers.

Blazers plan to reshape roster around Damian Lillard

The trade with the Pelicans for CJ McCollum will help Portland in reshaping roster around Damian Lillard.

Per ESPN, The team is also preparing to commit a long-term extension this summer to 21-year-old Anfernee Simons who has excelled this season with Lillard and McCollum missing time. Portland created a $20.8 million trade exception with the deal and will have up to potentially $60 million in cap space this summer to go along with the draft picks they received from both the Norman Powell-Robert Covington deal with the LA Clippers and this deal with New Orleans.

The Blazers are now $17.1 million below the tax for this season.
