OKC and Charlotte Swap Future Second-Round Picks

The Oklahoma City Thunder have acquired the Denver Nuggets’ 2030 second-round pick from the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for the Phoenix Suns’ 2029 second-round pick.

With the addition of Anthony Davis, the Mavericks are committed to structuring their future around Irving and Davis.

Jazz waive Mo Bamba

The Utah Jazz have announced the release of Mo Bamba, who just arrived from the Clippers via trade.

The team needed to open up a roster spot in order to add Jalen Hood-Schifino and two future second-round picks as part of the mega deal between the Lakers and Mavs.

Bamba was scoring 4.6 points with 4.3 rebounds and a block in 12 minutes per game with the Clippers.

NBA, Clippers and Jazz agree to trade

According to Shams Charania, the Clippers traded PJ Tucker (most likely to be released), Mo Bamba and a second-round pick to the Salt Lake City team for Drew Eubanks and Patty Mills.

The Clippers through this move drop about 4 million below the Luxury Tax threshold, a bit of flexibility that could come in handy even after the Trade Deadline in the buyout market.

In addition, Coach Lue’s team adds two experienced players who could help out if needed coming off the bench.

Eubanks was producing 5.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in 15 minutes per game.

Indiana Pacers Engaged in Trade Talks for Obi Toppin

The Indiana Pacers have discussed trading Obi Toppin with other teams, according to Fred Katz. The forward, set to earn $14 million next season, has been floated in trade talks, though there hasn’t been much traction yet.

League sources suggest that moving Toppin before the trade deadline could allow Indiana to take back an expiring contract without giving up additional assets. However, if the Pacers wait until the offseason, offloading his salary could require attaching a draft pick to the deal.

Atlanta Hawks Emerge as a Team to Watch for Brandon Ingram

The Atlanta Hawks have emerged as a potential suitor for Brandon Ingram, according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst. With Jalen Johnson ruled out for the rest of the season, Atlanta may look to bolster its wing position with a high-level acquisition.

“Keep an eye on the Atlanta Hawks. They just lost their star wing Jalen Johnson for the season. They may start to get interested in making a move, especially for Brandon Ingram,” Windhorst said on Get Up ESPN.

It remains to be seen if Atlanta can put together an enticing package to convince the Pelicans to part ways with their All-Star forward.

DeRozan May Reconsider Future in Sacramento if Fox Is Traded

DeMar DeRozan admitted that De’Aaron Fox’s potential trade could affect his future with the Sacramento Kings. On Run It Back, former NBA player Lou Williams asked if Fox’s departure would make him rethink his commitment to the team.

“Yeah, it’s tough because before I came here, those were the guys I talked to—Fox, Sabonis, and Monk,” DeRozan said. “They made it easy for me to decide to play here. If a key player like Fox leaves, not knowing the future, it does make things tough.”

DeRozan joined the Kings this past offseason via sign-and-trade from the Chicago Bulls. He has two more years left on his contract after this season for $50.5 million, but the final year (2026-27) is only partially guaranteed for $10 million.

Draymond Green on Potential Jimmy Butler Trade: “Hard to Move a $52M Contract”

Draymond Green weighed in on the difficulties of a potential trade between the Golden State Warriors and Miami Heat for Jimmy Butler, pointing out the challenges posed by his $52 million annual salary.

“If you want to trade for Jimmy with the least amount of players possible, that means you either have to trade him straight up for Steph, or you have to trade Jimmy for me and Wiggs… I don’t think you’re going to do that,” Green said on The Draymond Show.

His comments highlight the complexities of a Butler trade, which would likely require a multi-team deal or the sacrifice of key Warriors players.

Warriors Show Interest in Zach LaVine Trade

The possibility of a trade for Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine has generated intrigue among key Golden State Warriors stakeholders, according to Anthony Slater and Marcus Thompson.

Shams Charania: San Antonio Spurs are De’Aaron Fox’s preferred destination

Shams Charania spoke on NBA Countdown on the night to comment on the very latest on De’Aaron Fox’s future.

Here are the words of ESPN’s market analyst: «the Kings have received dozens of phone calls and offers in the last 30 hours since I reported this. But here’s the most important thing to know.

According to league sources, I’m told the San Antonio Spurs are De’Aaron Fox’s preferred destination. And San Antonio is among the teams interested in him. He’s a player with a massive market right now.

He has jumped to the top of the trade landscape ahead of the Feb. 6 NBA trade deadline. He’s in the prime of his career.

Fox is on a max contract, but deals like this don’t happen overnight. The Kings will have to balance finding the best possible offer for him now—while he still has a year and a half left on his contract—or the inevitability of a trade in the offseason.

If you’re a team interested in Fox, like the Spurs, and he shares that same interest in you, this is your chance to land a game-changer just eight days before the NBA trade deadline».

Milwaukee Bucks Interested in Zach LaVine

The Milwaukee Bucks have expressed interest in Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine as they look to bolster their perimeter scoring. Despite being made available by Chicago, LaVine reportedly prefers to stay with the Bulls for the remainder of the season.

Milwaukee has also been linked to Bradley Beal, potentially as part of a deal that would send Jimmy Butler to the Phoenix Suns. However, Beal has reportedly made it clear he would not approve a trade to Chicago.

To acquire LaVine, the Bucks would likely need to trade a combination of Khris Middleton, Bobby Portis, and Pat Connaughton to match salaries. Additionally, Milwaukee must navigate the second apron salary cap restrictions, making a multi-team trade the most feasible route to landing a high-salary star.

Raptors Looking to Add Key Piece Next to Scottie Barnes

The Toronto Raptors are interested in participating in a multi-team trade for Jimmy Butler, but they may also be looking to acquire a key player to pair with Scottie Barnes, according to Sportsnet.

Toronto has several veterans drawing league-wide interest: Bruce Brown and Chris Boucher are on expiring contracts, while Jakob Poeltl and Kelly Olynyk are targets for center-needy teams. The Raptors see Poeltl as part of their long-term rebuild, but Brown, Boucher, and Olynyk could be moved, with their recent strong play boosting their trade value.

“All those guys could be on the move,” said one league source. “The way they’ve played the last few weeks really helps.”

Milwaukee Bucks Emerge as Jimmy Butler Suitor: Middleton and Portis to Miami?

The Milwaukee Bucks are a team to watch in the pursuit of Jimmy Butler, with Khris Middleton and Bobby Portis potentially heading to the Miami Heat, according to Marc Stein.

However, Milwaukee cannot combine contracts in a Butler offer unless they first move Pat Connaughton’s deal, either separately or as part of a larger trade package. If the Bucks find a taker for Connaughton, they could then offer Miami a package featuring Middleton and Portis—two players who could strengthen the Heat’s playoff push in Butler’s absence.

The situation remains fluid, but Milwaukee could be a serious contender for Butler.

Brooklyn Nets Nets Target De’Aaron Fox, but Giannis Remains the Dream

With the trade deadline approaching, De’Aaron Fox is on the market, and the Brooklyn Nets are among the teams interested in acquiring the Sacramento Kings’ point guard. However, Fox reportedly has a preferred destination, making the competition fierce.

The Nets hold 15 future first-round picks, 12 of which are tradable, and could leverage their head coach Jordi Fernandez—formerly with the Kings—to lure Fox. Still, according to The New York Post, Brooklyn’s ultimate target remains Giannis Antetokounmpo. The franchise is carefully weighing whether to pursue Fox while keeping enough flexibility to make a move should Giannis become available.

Brooklyn must now decide whether to go all-in for Fox or hold out for a potential shot at Antetokounmpo.

Lakers and Myles Turner. Trade Talks with Indiana?

The Los Angeles Lakers are exploring the possibility of acquiring Myles Turner from the Indiana Pacers, according to sources familiar with the situation. The team has internally discussed whether to put both of their available first-round picks on the table for this trade deadline, provided Turner is willing to sign a new contract in the summer.

The technical fit with Anthony Davis would be ideal, especially considering Davis’ desire to play less as a center. Turner, currently shooting 39.3% from three, would improve floor spacing and provide elite rim protection. However, the main hurdle remains financial: Los Angeles would have to manage a high payroll, with Davis, LeBron James, and Turner among the most expensive contracts.

The deal would likely involve Rui Hachimura and two first-round picks, but it remains to be seen if Indiana, currently fifth in the East, is willing to part with their starting center ahead of the playoffs.

Kings reportedly ready to open talks for De’Aaron Fox trade

According to Shams Charania, the Sacramento Kings are reportedly ready to start talks to trade De’Aaron Fox, a 27-year-old point guard who has spent more than 7 seasons with the California team’s colors.

Fox’s contract expires in 2026 and he turned down a three-year extension at the maximum salary last summer, probably thinking about the possibility of a Super Max deal next summer (should he end up on one of the 3 All-NBA Teams).

The ESPN reporter adds that the former Kentucky man would have a specific destination in mind, a rumor also reported by Chris Haynes.

“Interested teams will likely be discouraged from trading for him being he’s set to become an Unrestricted Free Agent in 2026.”

It is unclear which team would be in Fox’s plans, although several reporters speculate the San Antonio Spurs, where the point guard would form a super duo with Victor Wembanyama.

Fox is producing 26.2 points, 5 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.5 steals in 37 minutes per game this year.
