The big man spent the last two seasons in Korea with Wonju Dongbu Promy (16.1 PPG, 5.8 RPG in 16 minutes this year)

Darussafaka extends coach Selcuk Ernak and Dogus Ozdemiroglu

Darussafaka announced that coach Selcuk Ernak and Dogus Ozdemiroglu have signed a two-year contract extension.

Ozdemiroglu is producing over 11 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals per game this season between BSL and BCL.

Ernak has been at the helm of the Turkish team since the 2018/19 season.

David Eudal is no longer the head coach BC MoraBanc Andorra after submitting his resignation. The new coach, who will make his debut tomorrow, is Óscar Quintana, a coach with ACB experience in Fuenlabrada, Murcia, Alicante, Sevilla and Manresa.

Zvezdan Mitrovic reportedly demands ASVEL €1.1M in damages

Montenegrin coach Zvezdan Mitrovic has filed a case in French court demanding aprox. €1.1M in damages from ASVEL Villeurbanne, as reported by Basket Actu

The total amount is split into 481,464 euros corresponding to his wages from the date he was fired until the conclusion of his contract for wrongful dismissal, 297,740 euros for damages to his personal image, 210,000 euros for deciding to leave his job at the Montenegro national team to focus on Villeurbanne, and 178,644 euros for lump-sum compensation of additional work in April 2020.

Deshawn Stephens terminates deal with Igokea

Deshawn Stephens has terminated his contract with Igokea due to a breach in payments, his agency Slash Sports informed Sportando.

The veteran big man averaged 9.4 points and 5.3 rebounds in the ABA Liga this season. He recently had a 21-point performance on a perfect 8-for-8 from the field in a win over Cibona.

CSKA Moscow lands Evgeny Kolesnikov

CSKA Moscow has announced the arrival of Evgeny Kolesnikov.

Baskonia reportedly close to sign Yanni Wetzell

According to Donatas Urbonas, Baskonia is close to finalizing the signing of Yanni Wetzell.

The San Diego State proudct is averaging 17.7 points (59% FG, 72% FT), 8.4 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.1 blocks per game in NBL for the New Zealand Breakers.

Wetzell is expected to sign a contract through the end of the season, with an option for the following season.

SIG Strasbourg announces Amine Noua

SIG Strasbourg announced the arrival of Amine Noua, on loan from MoraBanc Andorra until the end of the season.

The 25 years old forward was producing 6.6 points (41% 3P) and 2.3 rebounds per game in ACB.

TJ Cline joins MoraBanc Andorra

TJ Cline has signed with MoraBanc Andorra a contract until the end of the season.

The forward was playing in the G League with Capital City Go Go (10.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 17 minutes per game).

Andorra GM Francesc Solana: “Cline showed his winning character and intensity in all the teams he played with, two elements that will be very important in the final part of the season.”

 

Official: Lakers, Frank Vogel part ways

The Los Angeles Lakers have notified Frank Vogel that he has been relieved of his head coaching duties, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.

Vogel ends his 3 seasons with the Lakers with an NBA title and a record of 127 wins in 225 regular season games (18 of 27 in the playoffs).

Zalgiris Kaunas part ways with Zdovc, hire Maksvytis as new head coach

Zalgiris Kaunas announced that they have parted ways with Jure Zdovc and they have hired Kazys Maksvytis as new coach of the Lithuanian powerhouse.
Zdovc was hired as soon as the season started to replace Schiller.

Tim Quarterman signs with Caballeros de Culiacan

Former NBA guard Tim Quarterman is making his return to action as he signed with Caballeros de Culiacan in Mexico’s CIBACOPA, sources told Sportando.

Quarterman last played professional basketball in the NBA G League during the 2019-20 season.

He holds 19 appearances in the NBA with Portland and Houston.

Germani Brescia reportedly agreed to terms with John Brown III

According to Donatas Urbonas, John Brown III has reached an agreement to finish the season in Italy with Germani Brescia.

The forward averaged 10.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 2.8 steals in his Euroleague debut with Unics Kazan.

Brown III returns to Italy for the fourth time, after stints in Rome, Treviso and Brindisi (2 years).

Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans 92 sign Jerome Randle

Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans 92 announced the arrival of Jerome Randle.

Randle will replace the injured David Michineau.

The California product started the season in Ukraine with BC Budivelnik (16.9 points, 5.1 assists per game).

The big man will replace the injured Youssou Ndoye.
