Sasha Vezenkov has decided to waive $6.6 million of his NBA contract for the 2024/25 season and the Toronto Raptors have released him.
The Bulgarian forward must wait another 48 hours to get the final release and return to Olympiacos. During that time, Vezenkov will remain on the waivers list and, if no NBA team selects him, the Greek club can officially announce his signing.
Given Vezenkov’s strong desire to return to Europe, he is unlikely to be claimed by another NBA team.
