AS Monaco, Bayern Munich reportedly among teams interested in Devin Booker

According to Chris Harpidis of Totalbasket, AS Monaco and Bayern Munich are among the teams interested in signing Devin Booker.

The 31-year-old big man, under contract with Fenerbahce for next season,  this year has produced 9.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game in Euroleague.

Booker previously played with Bayern Munich from 2016 to 2019.

Billy Baron expected to join Olimpia Milano

Billy Baron is expected to join Olimpia Milano from next season, sources tell Sportando.
The American guard spent the season in Russia with Zenit St.Petersburg averaging 11.2ppg in EuroLeague and 12.7ppg in VTB League.

Baron will join Kevin Pangos in Milano’s backcourt.

Punto Olimpia first reported the news about the strong interest of Milano for the guard.

JL Bourg signs Jordan Floyd, Kevin Kokila

JL Bourg has announced the arrivals of Jordan Floyd and Kevin Kokila.

Last season Floyd scored 14.5 points per game in Greece with Kolossos Rhodes.

Kokila is a young big man (10.2 points and 5.6 rebounds in NM1 last year) who signed a three-year deal.

 

Maccabi Tel Aviv reportedly in pole position for Marius Grigonis

According to Rokas Pakėnas of 15min.lt several Euroleague teams are interested in Marius Grigonis, the Lithuanian guard on his way out of CSKA Moscow.

Grigonis remains under contract with the Russian team until 2024. The reporter reveals that CSKA allegedly threatened the player with a maxi-fine of more than 4 million euros to force him to return to Russia, but after the Lithuanian’s latest refusal, the team reportedly preferred to avoid the FIBA arbitration tribunal.

Grigonis produced 8.5 points and 1.9 assists per game in Euroleague.

Interested teams reportedly include Valencia, Zalgiris Kaunas and Maccabi Tel Aviv, with the Israeli team in pole position.

Travis Trice joins UCAM Murcia

UCAM Murcia announced the signing of Travis Trice.

The point guard led Slask Wroclaw to the Polish title with averages of 18.1 points and 7.3 assists per game, shooting 46 percent from the field, 45 percent from long range and 83 percent at the foul line.

 

Scott Machado, Cairns Taipans part ways

Scott Machado has announced that he will not return with the Cairns Taipans next season.
The point guard spent 3 years with the Australian team, scoring 10.1 points with 5.3 assists in 2021/22.

Anadolu Efes to build ‘Galacticos’ roster, close to keep Shane Larkin, sign Dwayne Bacon

SDNA talks about the ambitious plans of Anadolu Efes, the Euroleague champions of the past two seasons.

With the upcoming Final Four scheduled in Istanbul, Ergin Ataman dreams of becoming the first coach to reach the ‘three-peat’.

According to the report, the Turkish government–2023 will be the 100th anniversary of the  Turkish Republic- will also support the club’s plans to build a ‘galacticos’ team.

Shane Larkin, barring unlikely super offers from the NBA, will soon sign a two-year deal worth over 3.5 million per season.

Anadolu Efes reportedly agreed to pay a ‘significant’ buyout to CSKA Moscow for the arrival of Will Clyburn. In fact, the forward had already signed an extension until 2025 with the Russian team, but the deal was not announced for ‘internal reasons’.

Ante Zizic and Josh Nebo, whose deals were reported previously,. will be two significant additions for the frontcourt.

Also the team would be very close to signing Dwayne Bacon, 13.9 points per game in his Euroleague debut with Monaco.

Finally, Vasilije Micic. As known, the Serbian point guard is considering the NBA option, but he would like a team that would guarantee him a role in the rotation. Anadolu Efes is waiting for developments, with ‘a blank check’ ready for the MVP of the last Final Four.

 

Ryan Mikesell signing with ESSM Le Portel

Former Dayton forward Ryan Mikesell is on the verge of signing a contract with ESSM Le Portel in the French Betclic Elite (first division), sources told Sportando.

The 2022-23 season will be Mikesell’s third professional campaign. The 25-year-old spent the first two years of his career in the German second division with Tigers Tübingen. He stood out in his second season as he averaged 18.2 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, making him earn the jump to a top national league such as the Betclic Elite for the upcoming season.

Bertram Derthona close to a new deal with Mike Daum

After securing a new 2-year with JP Macura, Bertram Derthona Tortona is close to a new deal also with forward Mike Daum, sources tell Sportando.

Former Obradoiro ended his first season in Italy averaging 12.2 ppg and 5.7 rpg in LBA. Tortona, according to recent reports, is unlikely to play in a European competition next season

Zalgiris Kaunas made an offer to ASVEL guard Chris Jones, sources tell BasketNews’ Donatas Urbonas. French side offered Jones a contract extension but an agreement “won’t be easy”, as Jones is chased by numerous Euroleague teams.

Jones, who Zalgiris would sign as primary playmaker for next season, is also in the process of acquiring European citizenship this summer according to Basketnews.

The big man will stay with the Japanese team also in 2022-2023.

Bodian Massa signed a 3-year contract with SIG Strasbourg, as announced by the french team.

The big man last year produced 9.5 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game in BetClic Elite with Fos Sur Mer.

Anadolu Efes continues to work to build the roster that will try to win the Euroleague for the third time in a row.

According to Orazio Cauchi and Moses Barda, the team led by Ergin Ataman is close to signing Ante Zizic.

The 25-year-old Croatian center just finished his second season with Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Zizic averaged 12.1 points, 5 rebounds and 0.8 blocks in 21 minutes per game in Euroleague.
