Ian Clark joins Adelaide 36ers

The Adelaide 36ers have announced the signing of import guard Ian Clark for the remainder of the NBL23 season.

Clark joins the 36ers after being instrumental in the Sydney Kings’ championship win last season, the 190cm combo guard averaged 12.91 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game during NBL22 and will become a vital piece to Adelaide’s championship tilt.

The 330-game NBA veteran with Utah Jazz, Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors and New Orleans Pelicans earnt a reputation of being a major spark off the bench. Someone who could come into the game and get his team going at both ends of the court.

Clark was also a crucial part of the Golden State Warriors’ 2017 NBA championship win. Adelaide 36ers head coach CJ Bruton said what Clark has done in the NBL and for what he will bring to the 36ers, the decision was a perfect fit.

“To bring someone like Ian in is great for our group”, Bruton said.

“He’s a winner, he knows what it takes to get it done in this league but most importantly, he’s a great teammate.

“We are excited to add Ian to our squad, now it’s all about getting him here and getting him up to speed with our gameplan.”

Clark will likely make his NBL23 debut when the 36ers host South East Melbourne Phoenix on Christmas Eve at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

Malachi Richardson is a new player of Tauron GTK Gliwice, as announced by the Polish team.

The 26-year-old swingman returns to Poland, where he produced 15.8 points per game last year with King Szczecin.

Greek reporter George Zakkas adds Maccabi Tel Aviv to the list of Euroleague teams interested in Obradoiro big man Dragan Bender.

The Israeli side is on the market to replace the injured Alex Poythress.

The center, who will replace the injured Ibrahima Fall Faye, signed a contract until the end of the season.
