Panathinaikos: Christos Serelis is the new head coach

Panathinaikos BC announces the return of coach Christos Serelis to the club. He will lead the team in our next game against EA7 Emporio Armani Milan. Vasilis Simtsak has also returned to our coaching staff.

Christos Serelis is a basketball coach, born on August 21, 1974 in Lavrio, Greece.

He became the head coach of the Greek club Lavrio in 2004. With Lavrio, he won the Greek 4th Division championship in 2007, and the Greek 3rd Division championship in 2010.

On April 14, 2022, he left Lavrio in order to join Panathinaikos, as an assistant coach. After the end of the season, he became once again the head coach of Lavrio.

 

Anzejs Pasecniks returns to Real Betis

Real Betis announced the return of Anzejs Pasecniks on a deal until the end of the season.

The Latvian center last year in the ACB put together averages of 11.1 points, 4 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in 19 minutes per game.

Pasecniks arrives from Metropolitans 92.

 

Valencia reportedly working to extend Chris Jones

Chris Jones’ performance at Valencia has reached a very high level in recent weeks. The Texas point guard, once he solved the knee problems that affected him in the first part of the season, has regained his best form and was key in the two wins over Panathinaikos and Gran Canaria.

According to Fran Guaita of Cadenaser, the Spanish team wants to extend Jones’ contract, and has set up a meeting with his representatives during the Copa del Rey.

Jones is scoring 14.8 points with 4.8 assists and 1.4 steals per game in Euroleague, and 12.6 with 4.4 assists in ACB.

Jordan Davis joins Hamburg Towers

Jordan Davis is a new player of Hamburg Towers, the German team announced.

The guard started the year in Spain with UCAM Murcia (9.7 PPG, 2 APG).

Davis signed a contract until the end of the season.

Hapoel Galil Gilboa inks Robert Franks

Hapoel Galil Gilboa announced the arrival of Robert Franks.

The forward finished the season in NBL with the Adeleaide 36ers (17.7 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 50% FG, 36% 3P, 77% FT).

 

Devontae Cacok joins CSKA Moscow

Devontae Cacok is a new player of CSKA Moscow.

The power forward arrives from the Motor City Cruise (G League), where he was producing 19.9 points and 9.5 rebounds per game.

Cacok signed a deal until the end of the season, with an option to extend for another year.

The Russian team is first in the VTB League with 25 wins in 26 games.

 

Oldenburg signs Shakur Juiston and Hassani Gravett

Oldenburg announced the arrivals of  Shakur Juiston and Hassani Gravett.

Juiston started the season at Peristeri (7.1 PPG, 4.1 RPG), while Gravett was in G League.

The German team is 4th in BBL with 12 wins in 18 games.

 

Alan Williams signs 2-year extension with South East Melbourne Phoenix

South East Melbourne Phoenix big man Alan Williams is set to remain with the club for a further two seasons, after re-signing on Tuesday.

The big man arrived in Australia after a three-year stint with Lokomotiv Kuban.

Williams ended his first NBL season with 16.6 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.

 

Elfrid Payton joins Osos de Manatí

The Osos de Manatí announced today the signing of former NBA point guard Elfrid Payton as their first reinforcement for the 2023 BSN season.

Payton, the No.10 pick of the 2014 Draft, owns NBA career-averages of 10.1 points and 5.7 assists.

The pointguard spent last year with the Phoenix Suns.

GeVi Napoli lands Thomas Wimbush

GeVi Napoli announced the arrival of Thomas Wimbush with a deal until the end of the 2022-23 season.

The swingman started the year with Zenit Saint Petersburg (7.9 PPG, 3.2 RPG).

Neven Spahija is the front runner to replace Walter De Raffaele as new head coach of Reyer Venezia.

Croatian coach and the Italian powerhouse are negotiating the contract.

 

Ed Davis joins Mets de Guaynabo

The Mets de Guaynabo strengthen the frontcourt with the signing of Ed Davis.

The 33-year-old big man arrives in BSN after 12 seasons in the NBA, most recently last year with the Cleveland Cavs.

Davis in NBA has put together career-averages of 5.9 points, 6.4 rebounds and 0.8 blocks.
