Valencia reportedly offers a multi-year contract to Chris Jones

Valencia set a multi-year contract renewal offer on the table for Chris Jones.

However, the lack of a long-term license for the Spanish club could lead the American point guard to consider other options. According to Basketnews, the player has at least two other offers from EuroLeague teams.

Chris Jones is currently averaging 14.5 points and 4.6 assists in the EuroLeague.

Real Madrid reportedly in talks to extend Gabriel Deck’s contract

According to Marca, Real Madrid has already started negotiating a new contract with Gabriel Deck, the Argentine forward who was voted Co-MVP of the last Euroleague round.

The current deal expires in 2024, but includes an exit for next summer upon payment of a rich buyout, and the Blancos do not want to risk losing the player.

The parties for now would be far from an agreement. The issue is not the length of the new contract – obviously multi-year – but the compensation the Argentine would receive.

Deck is producing 12.4 points (57% FG, 34% 3P, 90% FT), 5.5 rebounds and 2 assists per game in Euroleague.

Chris Goulding to join Paris Basketball

Australian shooter Chris Goulding is preparing to join former head coach of the Sydney Kings, Will Weaver, at Paris Basketball in the LNB Pro A and EuroCup, as reported by Olgun Uluc.

The deal with Paris will mark Goulding’s first overseas experience since his time in Italy with Torino in 2016. The seasoned shooter also played a season (2014-15) with Zaragoza in Europe.

Goulding has signed a two-year contract extension with Melbourne United ahead of the NBL23 season and will return to the NBL next season, as announced by the league.

Paris is currently mid-table in the LNB Pro A. After 22 games, they sit in 12th place with a record of 9-13.

The UCLA product was one of the stars of the Dubai Tournament with the Strong Group.
