Unicaja Malaga signs David Kravish to contract extension

Unicaja Malaga announced that David Kravish  has signed an agreement for the next 2 seasons plus an option for another year.

The American center with a Bulgarian passport this year is averaging 9.4 points (62.5% on 2-point shots), 5 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game between ACB and BCL.

Kravish joins Tyler Kalinoski, Kendrick Perry, Nihad Djedovic and Melvin Ejim among the players who have already re-signed with Unicaja.

Jo Lual-Acuil Jr returns to Melbourne United

Melbourne United are bringing big man Jo Lual-Acuil Jr back to the NBL on a one-year deal with an option for a second season.

The Baylor product comes from an excellent year in CBA with the Nanjing Tongxi Monkey Kings, where he put together averages of 18.3 points, 10.6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game.

Acuil Jr will team up under the basket with Ariel Hukporti, a promising German prospect who has been confirmed for next year.

 

Panathinaikos to add Dimitris Moraitis for next season

Panathinaikos has an agreement in place with Dimitris Moraitis for next season.
The Greek player is wearing the jersey of Peristeri and averaging 7.3 points in domestic league and 5.5 points in BCL.

Pablo Laso reportedly drawing interest from Panathinaikos, Bayern Munich and Anadolu Efes

Pablo Laso is drawing interest from Panathinaikos, Bayern Munich and Anadolu Efes for next season, according to Marca.

The Spanish coach recently said that next season he will return to bench after sitting out a season.

Laso has won 22 titles with Real Madrid.

Panathinaikos has been the first team to contact Laso for next season.

Anadolu Efes too is looking for a head coach after the disappointing season in Euroleague.
The back to back EuroLeague champions missed the qualification to the playoffs.

Bayern Munich, that next season will move to the new arena, SAP Garden with 12.000 seats, is also interested in Laso in order to improve, at least in Europe, the results of the basketball team.

Reggie Perry joins LG Sakers

Reggie Perry is a new player of the LG Sakers, as announced by the Korean club.

The Mississipi State product played 41 G league games this year between Raptors 905 and Motor City Cruise, averaging 21 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists.

Sergio Scariolo reportedly the frontrunner for Real Madrid bench

From Greece a news on the future of Sergio Scariolo, head coach of Segafredo Virtus Bologna.

According to George Zakkas, Scariolo is the frontrunner for the Real Madrid bench, and is reportedly already in advanced negotiations with the club he previously coached from 1999 to 2002.

 

Two days ago, Virtus Bologna CEO Baraldi instead speculated about Scariolo remaining beyond the expiration of his current contract (2024).

Marco Ramondino signs multi-year extension with Bertram Derthona

Bertram Derthona has announced a contract extension through 2026 for coach Marco Ramondino.

Ramondino has spent the last five seasons on the Italian team’s bench.

Bertram Derthona is currently second in the LBA standings along with Olimpia Milano, with a record of 17 wins in 24 games.

Keenan Evans expected to stay with Zalgiris Kaunas

According to Tomer Givati of israelyahom, Keenan Evans is expected to remain with Zalgiris Kaunas next season.

The 26-year-old guard from Texas Tech suffered an Achilles tendon rupture in early 2023, and is expected to recover with next season already underway.

Before the injury Evans was scoring 15.9 points (50% FG, 46% from three on 5.6 attempts x game, 81% FT) with 3.7 assists and one steal per game in Euroleague.

Shabazz Muhammad joins Guangdong Southern Tigers

Shabazz Muhammad is a new player of Guangdong Southern Tigers.

The former NBA first round pick signed a deal until the end of the CBA season.

Muhammad this year averaged over 25 points and 10 rebounds per game in the Lebanese league with the Beirut Club.

Virtus Bologna reportedly targets Christian Mekowulu

Virtus Bologna is on the market, and according to Corriere dello Sport, a possible name is Christian Mekowulu.

The former Sassari and Treviso player is averaging 10.4 points and 5.9 rebounds in the ACB with Zaragoza. The newspaper specifies: “He may not be the main target, it will be understood in the next few hours, and in any case, the club remains cautious waiting to understand if the right opportunity for a convincing addition will arrive.”

Houston Rockets reportedly target Jaylen Brown

Jaylen Brown recently made a noncommittal comment about his future with the Celtics, sparking speculation about his stay in Boston. The 26-year-old two-time NBA All-Star is entering the final year of his contract.

John Granato suggests the Rockets may pursue Brown in the summer and potentially add his former coach Ime Udoka to the team.

Brown is currently averaging 26.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. Houston is at the bottom of the Western Conference with the second-worst record in the NBA.

Keanu Pinder signs two-year deal with Perth Wildcats

The Perth Wildcats have announced the signing of Keanu Pinder to a two-year contract.

The 27-year-old power forward is coming off an excellent two-year stint in the NBL with the Cairns Taipans, averaging 16.9 points and 9.3 rebounds last year.

Pinder has won the NBL’s Most Improved Player award two seasons in a row.

The Arizona product, currently with Urbas Fuenlabrada, is producing over 19 points and 8 rebounds per game in the  ACB.

 

 

James Feldeine joins Hapoel Tel Aviv

Hapoel Tel Aviv has announced the arrival of James Feldeine.

The Israeli team will face Reyer Venezia in the Eurocup round of 16.

Feldeine spent last year with Fortitudo Bologna (11.2 PPG, 2.6 APG).

Unicaja Malaga announced contract extensions for Tyler Kalinoski and Kendrick Perry.

Kalinoski will continue 3 more seasons in Malaga, while Perry signed a deal for the next 2 seasons plus an optional third.

The guard produced 12.3 points and 6.7 rebounds in the Copa del Rey won by Unicaja.

Perry has played 40 games in all competitions, averaging 11.5 points, 3.8 assists and 1.08 steals in just 21 minutes of play.

Chris Jones extends with Valencia Basket until 2026

Valencia Basket has reached an agreement with the North American point guard with an Armenian passport Chris Jones (1.88m, Garland (Texas), 04/10/1993, 29 years old) to extend the contract that unites him with the Taronja entity for three more seasons, until on June 30, 2026. In his first season as a Valencia Basket player, Jones is the team’s top scorer and most valued player in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with numbers of 14.2 points, 2.3 rebounds, 4 .6 assists and 3.2 fouls received for 16 PIR. His best stats in the maximum continental competition since he premiered three seasons ago in the European basketball elite. In the Endesa League, Chris Jones’ numbers are 12.1 points with 42.9% on three-pointers, 1.9 rebounds and 4.8 assists for 13.3 PIR

 

Sarunas Jasikevicius to talk with Barcelona at the end of the season

The Barcelona coach, Sarunas Jasikevicius, stated on Wednesday, ahead of their visit to Panathinaikos, that the Greek team is “completely different” since the change of coach and that this “change of image” must be respected.

“They play more together, defend more and put a lot of pressure on the ball. Results are coming, they have won their last two Euroleague games and were close to beating Olympiacos on Sunday,” Jasikevicius explained. The coach also talked about the possible renewal of his contract with Barça, saying they will talk about it at the end of the season.

Fos Provence announced the signing of Tahjere McCall.

The guard comes from a successful year in Australia with Cairns (16.1 PPG, 5.6 RPG, 4 APG, 2 SPG).

McCall will replace  the injured RJ Nembhard.

The Piratas de Quebradillas strengthen the roster with the signing of two athletes with notable NBA resumes, center Hassan Whiteside and point guard Brandon Knight.

Whiteside has NBA career averages of over 12 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocks, while Knight has 14 points and 3.9 assists.

The center has also played in China and Lebanon, while the former Kentucky point guard is on his first experience away from the States.

 

Tezenis Verona reportedly to sign Justin Simon

Tezenis Verona will sign Justin Simon, as reported by L’Arena.

Simon, a 1996-born American shooting guard/small forward, has just won the NBL with the Sydney Kings.

In the Australian league, Simon averaged 10.8 points, 5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game.
