The New Taipei Kings strengthened the roster with the signings of Jeremy Lin and Tony Mitchell.

Lin comes from three seasons in CBA, the last one with the Guangzhou Loong Lions.

Mitchell, the 37th pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, spent the last two years in the Venezuelan league.

Luca Banchi close to join Virtus Bologna

According to Giuseppe Malaguti, Luca Banchi will be the new coach of Segafredo Virtus Bologna.
The Italian team recently announced the firing of Sergio Scariolo.

Banchi just concluded a triumphant World Championship at the helm of Latvia, finishing in 5th place with wins over Spain, France and Lithuania among others, and with the award for best coach of the competition.

The power forward  is headed to the NBL to replace Alan Williams (out indefinitely due to a knee injury).

Cook spent 2022/23 in G League with the Salt Lake City Stars (15 PPG, 8.1 RPG, 3.3 APG).

 

Serge Ibaka reportedly joining Bayern Munich

According to Spanish reporter Marc Mundet, Serge Ibaka has signed a one-year contract with Bayern Munich.

The 33-year-old big man would return to Europe after 14 seasons in the NBA, with career-averages of 12 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.9 blocks, an NBA title won with the Raptors and two years as the league’s best shot blocker.

Ibaka spent the last two years with the Milwaukee Bucks, playing in 35 total games.

 

AS Monaco keeps Yakuba Ouattara

AS Monaco has announced the contract extension of Yakuba Ouattara.

The Ghanaian-born guard with a French passport has been playing with the Principality’s club since 2015 (only in 2020/21 he moved to play with Real Betis in ACB).

Last year Ouattara scored 7 points per game in BetClic Elite and 3.7 in Euroleague.

 

Valencia Basket reportedly close to sign Stefan Jovic

Valencia Basket is reportedly close to signing Serbian point guard Stefan Jovic for the rest of the season. The move comes as a response to the physical issues plaguing Icelandic player Martin Hermannsson.

Jovic, who recently won a silver medal with Serbia in the World Cup and will turn 33 in November, initially renewed his contract with Casademont Zaragoza earlier this summer. However, his contract includes an exit clause that will likely facilitate the move to Valencia. While the signing is not yet finalized, Jovic is the chosen option for Valencia.

Arturs Zagars nearing deal with Fenerbahce, loaned to Wolves

Arturs Zagars, 23, is nearing a deal to sign with Fenerbahce and will be loaned to BC Wolves for the start of the 2023-24 season.

Zagars was a standout in the recent FIBA World Cup, averaging 12.4 points, 7.4 assists, and 2.6 rebounds per game over eight appearances.

He also set a new record for the most assists in a single World Cup game with 17 against Lithuania.

Crvena Zvezda reportedly interested in Nemanja Bjelica

Crvena Zvezda is showing interest in acquiring Serbian basketball player Nemanja Bjelica, according to Serbian sources. The interest has been confirmed after Bjelica was sidelined by his current team, Fenerbahce. Once his contract with Fenerbahce is resolved, Bjelica could join the Serbian club’s training sessions.

Virtus Bologna CEO on Toko Shengelia: It was not a matter of money
