Efes reportedly agrees to deals with Pleiss, Şanlı, Anderson, parts ways with Peters

Anadolu Efes has agreed to new deals with Tibor Pleiss, Sertaç Şanlı and James Anderson, according to İsmail Şenol of beIN SPORTS.

The Turkish club has parted ways with Alec Peters, per Şenol.

Jeff Brooks signs new deal with Olimpia Milano

Olimpia Milan and Jeff Brooks agreed on a new deal and will extend their partnership into the next season. “Jeff will wear our jersey for the third consecutive season: he’s a person and a player that we appreciate, we are happy to keep working together,” Olimpia’s general manager Christos Stavropoulos said. “I want to say that I’m very happy to be back with Olimpia, to have a chance to continue to build the chemistry with some of the guys I have already played with for 1-2 years and to build a new chemistry with the new players coming in. I’m happy to get a chance to work with Coach Messina and all of his staff for another year. I’m just excited to be back and compete with this club once more! Good things are in our future at Olimpia!”

Born in Louisville, Kentucky, on June 12, 1989, Brooks started to play at the Doss High School in Louisville and eventually attended Penn State University for four years. In 2011, he began his professional career in Jesi, then moved to Cantù, Caserta and Sassari. Before the 2015/16 season, he transferred to Russia to play for Autodor Saratov one year. Them he moved to Spain and played two seasons in Malaga. In 2019, he played the World Cup with the Italian National Team. He’s about to play in Milan – where he was a member of the Supercup winning team in 2018 – for the third consecutive season.

Spanish Liga ACB club Montakit Fuenlabrada announced the signing of guard Obi Emegano.

Emegano averaged 13.1 points and 3.1 rebounds per game in France with Le Mans Sarthe this past season.

Deal between Dinamo Sassari and Vasa Pusica to fall apart?

The deal between Dinamo Sassari and Vasa Pusica is on the verge of falling apart, a Serbian source told Sportando.

The two sides had an agreement in principle but the player did not accept the Covid-19 clause added to the contract. The Covid-19 is a clause the all Serie A and LNP teams can add to the contracts after the pandemic that cancelled all the leagues in Italy.

Coach Gianmarco Pozzecco, the was able to convince Pusica to move to Sassari, confirmed the agreement between the two sides a few days in an interview to Il Corriere dello Sport.

“Pusica has size, he is 196cm tall. He can be the playmaker and the guard with Spissu because he has a great shot. He had important offers but one of our former players, Rashawn Thomas, convinced him to come here” Pozzecco said.

Sammy Mejia is considering retirement according to his Turkish agent Caglar Coskun.

“Sammy Mejia is currently considering retirement. He is staying in America. He will decided in the next days. His retirement seems likely for now” Coskun said.

Mejia, born in 1983, has played for Tofas in the past three seasons.
