Turkish prospect Adem Bona to play at Prolific Prep

17-year old Nigerian/Turkish big man Adem Bona will spend the next two seasons in the United States at Prolific Prep, according to ESPN’s Jonathan Givony.

Bona will graduate in 2022 and become NBA draft-eligible in 2023 when he’s a year removed from his high school graduating class. Givony adds that before entering the draft, Bona may consider following Prolific Prep alum Jalen Green at the G League Ignite team, or could elect to return to Europe.

Bona played a total of eight games in the Turkish BSL and FIBA Europe Cup last season with Pinar Karsiyaka. He averaged 14.1 points, 10.3 rebounds and 4 blocks per game for Turkey in the 2019 U16 European Championship.

Lokomotiv Kuban reportedly close to deal with Kevin Hervey

According to Moshe Barda, Lokomotiv Kuban is closing in on a deal with forward Kevin Hervey to replace Johnny O’Bryant, who left the team for personal reasons.

Hervey was a second-round pick in the 2018 NBA draft. He spent his first two professional seasons primarily in the NBA G League with the OKC Blue, but he also played 10 games with the Thunder in 2019-20 as a two-way contract player.
