Minnesota Timberwolves reportedly frontrunner to sign Facundo Campazzo

The Minnesota Timberwolves are likely to be the frontrunner to sign guard Facundo Campazzo, whether the Argentinian will ultimately leave Real Madrid to go to the NBA, as reported by Marca.

A relevant role would be played by Campazzo’s former teammate in the NT Pablo Prigioni, who’s working as an assistant coach with the Wolves. Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs are also referenced by Marca as possibilities.

Marko Arapović pens deal with KK Split

Marko Arapović will play for Split in the 2020/21 season! This 24-year-old forward is therefore coming back to ABA League as he had previously played for Cibona (2012-2014) and for Cedevita (2014-2018). He was part of Cibona team which won the 2014 ABA League championship.

In the previous two years, Marko Arapović played for Turkish giant Galatasaray Istanbul.

“I am very happy that I am coming to Split. I had plenty of offers from abroad, still I liked the project of Split and I liked how this team played in the previous season. I was looking for a team in which I can show everything I know and I think that I found that here in Split. I am convinced that we have a team which is capable of great things,” said Arapović.

Nate Sestina agrees to deal with Nizhny Novgorod

Rookie power forward Nate Sestina has agreed to a deal with Russian team Nizhny Novgorod of the Basketball Champions League and VTB League, a source told Sportando.

Sestina spent four years (including a redshirt season) at Bucknell before transferring to Kentucky. Under coach John Calipari, he averaged 5.7 points and 3.7 rebounds in 20 minutes per game while shooting 40.7 from 3-point range.

He was an All-Patriot League Second Team in his final year at Bucknell as he averaged 15.8 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.
