Rob Gray leaves Les Metropolitans 92 to sign with Monaco

Rob Gray and Les Metropolitans 92 have agreed to part ways, the french team announced.

Les Metropolitans 92 added that the guard out of Houston will continue the season with Monaco.

Gray was averaging 12.2 points over 8 games between Jeep Elite and Eurocup.

Sources: Wesley Saunders to join Fortitudo Bologna

Fortitudo Bologna is finalizing an agreement with Wesley Saunders, a source told Sportando.

The American forward will leave AS Monaco to return to Italian Serie A.

Saunders played just 10 minuts per game for the french team.

Last year he averaged over 13 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assist per game for Vanoli Cremona.

Igor Kokoskov: I wouldn’t be sitting here with you today if Suns had drafted Doncic

Igor Kokoskov said that he would not sit on Fenerbahce’s bench now if the Suns had selected Luka Doncic in the 2018 NBA Draft.

Per Socrates Dergi (via Sports Illustrated): “I wouldn’t be sitting here with you today,” he said prior to a Fenerbahce’s game and then he talked about his development.

“There is a frightening momentum of development,” Kokoskov told Ugur Ozan Sulak of Socractes . “Last year he was one of the most talented players in the world but today he is among the few selected best basketball players in the world. It should not be forgotten that he is only 21 years old and he will be playing for 17-18 years with the prolongation of professional athletes’ careers.”

Kokoskov has been head coach of the Suns in 2018-2019 ending the season with a 19-63 record.

Jalen Jones to sign in Varese

Jalen Jones accepted the proposal made by Openjobmetis Varese and is ready to sign the contract with the Italian team, La Prealpina reports.
The American forward will land in Italy next week to join his new team.

Jones has played in Europe with Baskonia and spent last season in G League with Capitals City Go Go.

Ukrainian club Budivelnyk announced the signing of Steve Burtt.

Стівен Бурт-молодший пройде трай-аут у “Будівельнику”! Перший легіонер в історії збірної України вже у Києві і невдовзі розпочне разом з командою підготовку до матчів проти “Миколаєва” і “Мавп”. Попереднім клубом до карантину для 36-річного Стіва був аргентинський “Гімнасія Індало”, де він встиг відіграти лише 6 матчів і приносив команді в середньому 11,3 очка + 1,1 підбирання + 1,1 передачі за 19,5 хвилин. Але розпочинав сезон 2019/20 Бурт у грецькому «Іонікосі», де за 28,4 хвилини в місцевій елітній лізі мав наступні середні цифри: 18 очок + 2,5 передачі + 2,3 підбирання в 13 матчах. Варто зазначити, що в сезоні 2018/19 Стів став найкращим скорером чемпіонату Греції у складі «Ретімно» з показником в 19 очок за гру. Стів Бурт виступав в Україні за «Ферро-ЗНТУ» та «Дніпро», і з обома командами здобував Кубок України. У складі дніпрян американець працював в тому числі під керівництвом Вальдемараса Хомічюса. Nick Johnson returns to Turk Telekom Ankara

Former NBA guard Nick Johnson signed a deal to return to Turk Telekom Ankara in the Basketball Champions League and Turkish BSL, the team announced.

Johnson averaged 11.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game last season for the Turkish team in the two competitions.

Turk Telekom Ankara has now four former Houston Rockets on the roster: Johnson, Kyle Wiltjer, Sam Dekker and Tyler Ennis.

Antino Jackson joining Sopron KC

Former Akron and New Mexico point guard Antino Jackson has reached an agreement on a deal with Sopron KC of Hungary’s A-Division, a source told Sportando.

Jackson has played professionally for two years. After spending his rookie campaign in Italy’s second division, he played last season in the Israeli second division with Maccabi Raanana, averaging 17.9 points and 6.3 assists in 11 games.

Joventut facing Unics without Tomić and Ribas

Joventut started this season really good, managed to get five wins in the ACB league, while maintaining a perfect score in the EuroCup. However, they will face a very difficult challenge on Wednesday on a road against Unics Kazan.

Retin Obasohan signs with Nymburk

Belgian guard Retin Obasohan has signed a contract with Basketball Nymburk of the Basketball Champions League and Czech NBL, the team announced. The Czech club had been active on the market since Luka Rupnik left to sign in Spain with Zaragoza.

Obasohan spent the 2019-20 season with Brose Bamberg, averaging 8.4 points and 2.7 assists per game in the Basketball Champions League and German Bundesliga.
