Westermann is a tall point guard with a big reach, the ability to lead the team and also to create chances for his team-mates. He also has very good scoring percentages, particularly with the triple, and is excellent at blocking off opponents.

After that great season he signed for CSKA Moscow (2017/18), but the Russian adventure only lasted one season before he returned to Kaunas.

Lokomotiv Kuban officially adds Nigel Williams-Goss

Nigel Williams-Goss (191 cm, 86 kg) was born on September 16, 1994 in Happy Valley, Oregon, USA. During his student years, he performed at the NCAA for the University of Washington (2013-2015) and Gonzaga Universities (2015-2017). In the 2016/17 season, his team reached the final.

In 2017, he was drafted under the 55th number by Utah. He started his professional career in Serbian Partizan, became the most productive player of the team in the 2017/18 season – 16.9 points + 3.7 rebounds + 6.9 assists in the Adriatic League.

In the 2018/19 season, he moved to Greece for Olympiacos, with whom he played in the Euroleague, showing an average of 9.2 points in 30 matches, 2 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game.

In the 2019/20 season, he signed a contract with Utah and returned to the United States. Played 10 games in the NBA, including 2 bubble games in Orlando. Mostly played in the G League for Salt Lake City – 17 games, 15.3 points + 3.9 rebounds + 5.5 assists + 1.6 steals per game. I was preparing for the start of the 2020/21 season with Utah, but left the club in December.

In 2013, he won the World Youth Championship in the Czech Republic along with the US team. He won the Serbian Cup with Partizan, becoming the MVP of the tournament.

I am glad that we managed to sign a contract with such a player. Nigel has to strengthen our game. An experienced high-speed point guard who plays pick-and-rolls well, sees the court perfectly, can flirt with the big players and score himself. Williams-Goss will give the team rotation, he perfectly suits our style of play, perfectly reveals the opponent’s defense with passes, finds partners and can attack himself both from behind the arc and in the aisles. I will note his floater, which he performs simply masterfully. I hope that Nigel will join the team as soon as possible, help our leaders on the court and definitely strengthen the team. Together with him we will become even stronger and will fight for victory in every match!
