Corban Collins to sign with Helsinki Seagulls

Corban Collins has agreed to a deal with the Helsinki Seagulls of the Finnish Korisliiga, sources told Sportando. Collins is parting ways with Italian club JB Monferrato and will move to Finland for the rest of the season.

The guard appeared in five games with JB Monferrato this season, averaging 12 points and 3.4 assists in the Italian Serie A2.

Jawun Evans signs with Promitheas

Former NBA guard Jawun Evans signed a contract with Promitheas Patras of the Greek A1 league, the team announced.

Evans has played 56 games in the NBA with the Clippers, Suns and Thunder. He spent the 2019-20 season in the G League with the Raptors 905.

Promitheas recently signed another former NBA player in Jerian Grant.

De’Longhi Treviso reportedly in negotiation with Trevor Lacey

According to the Gazzettino of Treviso, De’Longhi Treviso has decided to replace Jeffrey Carroll, who did not convince the technical staff during the first part of the season. Among the names circulating the good one could be Trevor Lacey, with whom the team is already in talks.

The former Pesaro and Sassari spent last season in the G League with the Wisconsin Herd.

Germani Brescia reportedly interested in Michal Michalak

According to BresciaOggi, Germani Brescia is interested in Michal Michalak.

The polish guard is under contract with Mitteldeutscher BC, where he’s producing 20.8 points per game in BBL, shooting 49% from the field and from beyond the arc.

Michalak played 1 game for the italian team in the 2016/17 season.

If the negotiation goes through, according to the newspaper, the Italian team could release Kenny Chery to make room for the Polish player

Gaziantep to sign Kenny Hayes

Gaziantep is signing Kenny Hayes, as reported by Ferhat Yesiltas.
The American guard spent last two seasons with Buyukcekmece averaging 21.7ppg and 19.8ppg.

Steven Gray to join Igokea

As reported by Donatas Urbonas, the American guard Steven Gray is joining Igokea. Gray is coming as a replacement for Antabia Waller.

31-year old Gra played for the Greek side Peristeri this season, where he averaged 21.3 points and 4.5 assists per game in the Basketball Champions League.

Ethan Happ in Sassari for physicals

Most likely Ethan Happ will replace Justin Tillman at Dinamo Sassari.
According to Unione Sarda.it, the big man out of Wisconsin is already in Sardinia for medical examinations, with Sassari wanting to check the condition of his elbow and the possibility of him playing at the Final Eight before signing the contract.

 

This year Happ has produced averages of 13.5 points, 9.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.8 steals in LBA with Fortitudo Bologna.

Tarik Black joins Zenith St. Petersburg

Tarik Black signed a contract until the end of the season with Zenith St. Petersburg, the russian team announced.

The center out of Kansas spent the past two seasons with Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Last year Black averaged 9.1 points (62% FG, 69% FT) and 4.8 rebounds in Euroleague.

Panathinaikos announces Oded Katash

Panathinaikos OPAP announces the 1,5 year agreement with coach Oded Kattash. Lior Lubin is added as the assistant coach.

Oded Kattash was born on October 10nth, 1974 is an Israeli professional basketball coach and former player. During his playing career, at a height of 194 cm (6′ 4 ​1⁄2″) tall, he played at the point guard position. He was the 1998 Israeli Basketball Premier League MVP. He is currently working as the head coach of Hapoel Jerusalem and the senior Israel men’s national team. As a player, he won the EuroLeague title in the 1999–2000 season, while playing with Panathinaikos.

After Kattash retired from playing basketball, he took up basketball coaching, and he first coached Hapoel Galil Elyon. He was the head coach of Macabbi Tel Aviv, from summer of 2007, until January 1, 2008, when he resigned.

Shortly after, he returned to Galil Elyon, and helped the team stay in the Israeli first division. In 2009, he remained with Galil, leading them against the odds, to the Israeli League Final Four, and coming within a last shot of knocking out Maccabi Tel Aviv in the semifinals. In 2010, he won the Israeli League championship with Galil, after a win over Maccabi Tel Aviv in the league finals.

In June 2010, Kattash was appointed as Hapoel Jerusalem’s head coach, signing a three-year contract.

On June 21, 2012, Kattash was appointed the head coach of Hapoel Eilat, as the team was re-included into the Israeli Premier League, for the 2012-13 season.

On June 27, 2014, at the end of his contract, Kattash signed a three-year contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv. On November 3, 2015, he was dismissed, after only four games, after three consecutive losses. He subsequently returned to Hapoel Eilat. However, On July 18, 2017, Hapoel Eilat and Kattash decided to part ways. During that summer, Kattash led the Israel national under-20 basketball team to a silver medal at the 2017 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship.

On October 10, 2017, The Basketball Federation of Israel, named Kattash the new head coach of the senior Israeli national team, for the next four years. On February 22, 2018, Kattash returned for a second stint to Hapoel Jerusalem, signing a one-and-a-half year deal.
