The American has left Casademont Zaragoza where he was averaging 8.2 points and 4.8 rebounds in ACB and 16 points and 6 rebounds in BCL.
Thompson has already played in China with Beijing and Sichuan.

Chris Johnson signs with Muharraq

Veteran center Chris Johnson has signed a contract with Muharraq in Bahrain, a source told Sportando.

Johnson, a 6’11 big man from LSU, appeared in 71 games in the NBA earlier in his career. He has played several years overseas in Europe, Latin America and Asia, most recently in Japan with SeaHorses Mikawa in 2019-20.

Dexter Kernich-Drew joins Sidney Kings as injury replacement player

The Brydens Lawyers Sydney Kings have today announced the signing of Dexter Kernich-Drew as an injury replacement player for Angus Glover.

Kernich-Drew joins the Kings after spending last season as an injury replacement player with Melbourne United, and having most recently spent the last few months as a training player with South East Melbourne Phoenix.

The 199cm guard also spent time with the Cairns Taipans and Perth Wildcats, where he was part of the 2017 Championship winning side alongside Kings Head Coach Adam Forde.

Olimpia Milan announces deal with Jakub Wojciechowski

Olimpia Milan has reached an agreement with Jakub Wojciechowski, born in Lodz, Poland, on 9 January 1990, 2.13 mt. tall, coming from Edilnol Biella, in the A2 Division. He is playing as an Italian player by formation. “We decided to bring Jakub here to improve our depth, with a guy strongly motivated to help and to use this opportunity in the best possible way,” Olimpia’s general manager Christos Stavropoulos said. “I’m glad to have this chance, it’s a great opportunity for my career. I hope to get the best out of it, by helping the team while doing whatever I’ll be asked to do,” Wojciechowski said.

HIS CAREER – Jakub Wojciechowski came to Italy at the age of 16 to play in the Benetton Treviso youth academies and eventually played in Casalpusterlengo, Brescia, Torino, Veroli, Mantova in the second division and in Cantù, Cremona, Capo d’Orlando and Brindisi in the Italian top League. At Orlandina, he produced his best season ever averaging 8.9 points and 6.1 rebounds per game during the 2017/18 season. Last year he was playing for Legia Warsaw, in the past he played also for Anwil Wloclawek in Poland, while this year he was in Biella, averaging 10.3 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.

NOTES – Wojciechowski was part of the Polish youth national teams for years and conquered the bronze medal at the 2018 Under 18 European Championships.

Micheal Eric reportedly reaches deal with CSKA Moscow

Micheal Eric has reached an agreement with EuroLeague club CSKA Moscow, according to Chema de Lucas.

Eric holds two seasons of EuroLeague experience with Darussafaka and Baskonia. He has played for Turk Telekom Ankara in Turkey this season.

With Nikola Milutinov out for the rest of the season, the Russian team had been active on the market to add frontcourt depth.

Thomas Heurtel reportedly likely to join ASVEL until end of season

French newspaper L’Equipe has reported that French guard Thomas Heurtel could likely join ASVEL until the end of the season, especially to avoid a long inactivity before the 2020 Olympic Games. 

Heurtel could play, for ASVEL, only in Jeep Elite. Sources have stated that former Barcelona guard will join Real Madrid next season.
