Trento fires coach Nicola Brienza

Dolomiti Energia Trento announced the firing of coach Nicola Brienza.
Brienza has been head coach of Trento since the summer of 2019.

Trento is 1-2 in EuroCup Top 16 and has a 6-11 record in Serie A.

His assistant Lele Molin has been appointed head coach.

Ivica Radic denies rumors: “I’m not going anywhere, I haven’t spoken with Pesaro”

In the wake of the recent reports about Ivica Radic possibly going to Pesaro in Italy, the player himself went on the record and said that the rumors are not true.

“That’s bull—-! Typical fake news. Everyone asks me about a transfer to Italy, but I’m not going anywhere. I have not spoken to anyone from Pesaro. I am very upset with the whole situation,” Radic told Polish website Sportowefakty.

Radic is under contract with Anwil Wloclawek in Poland.

Luka Babic returns to KK Split

Luka Babic signed until the end of the season with KK Split.

The forward played for all youth selections of the croatian side, and debuted with the first team in 2008.

Babic spent last year in BSL with Ormanspor Genc Ankara, where he produced 6.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.6 assist per game.

Allerik Freeman transfers from ASVEL to CBA’s Qingdao

Allerik Freeman is transferring from ASVEL Villeurbanne to Chinese CBA team Qingdao Eagles, his agent Charles Misuraca told Sportando.

Freeman played 18 games in the EuroLeague with the French team this season, averaging 7.4 points on 42-percent shooting from beyond the arc over 20.8 minutes.

He is making his return to China where he had a brief stint during the 2019-20 season.

Perry Jones III signing with s.Oliver Würzburg

Former NBA forward Perry Jones III is signing a deal with s.Oliver Würzburg in Germany’s Bundesliga, sources told Sportando.

Jones has spent last season and a half in Turkey with Bursaspor. He averaged 13.6 points and 5.2 rebounds on 35.6 percent from three over 32.2 minutes per game in 2019-20. He has seen less playing time this season, averaging 6.8 points and 3.1 rebounds in 22.8 minutes in Turkish BSL and EuroCup action.

Duda Sanadze parted ways with Al Khor

Georgian international Duda Sanadze has parted ways with a Qatari club Al Khor after the end of the regular season. San Diego alumni played eight league games for Al Khor, averaging 24.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists per contest.

As Sportando was told, a 28-year old guard is now planning to return to Europe.

Macon started the season with Galatasaray averaging 19.5 points and 3.1 assists in BCL.

Gerald Robinson will leave VL Pesaro to join JDA Dijon

Gerald Robinson will leave VL Pesaro after Italian Cup in mid-February.

Robinson inked with Italian team after the injury of Massenat and will end his season in France with JDA Dijon.

Robinson started the season with Virtus Roma averaging 11.9 points and 3.4 assists. Now, with Pesaro, he is averaging 6.8 points and 4.8 assists in LBA Serie A.

Perry Jones III, Bursaspor part ways

Perry Jones III and Bursaspor have terminated the contract and the former NBA forward is now a free agent, a source told Sportando.

Jones averaged 6.8 points and 3.1 rebounds in 22.8 minutes per game in the EuroCup and Turkish BSL.

UCAM Murcia reportedly interested in James Webb III

Spanish Liga ACB club UCAM Murcia is showing interest in forward/center James Webb III as a replacement for the injured David DiLeo, according to Chema de Lucas.

Webb is averaging 12.8 points and 9.8 rebounds per game in Greece for Larisa.

EuroCup team Partizan Belgrade also had interest in buying Webb out of his deal with Larisa in early January but couldn’t reach an agreement with the Greek team.

Vit Krejci included in OKC Blue roster

Oklahoma City Thunder draft-and-stash prospect Vit Krejci is included in the roster of the Thunder’s G League affiliate, the OKC Blue.

Krejci, selected in the second round of the 2020 NBA Draft, began the season with Zaragoza in Spain but suffered an ACL tear that will keep him sidelined for the remainder of the campaign. He is joining the Blue to continue his ACL rehab while the Thunder retain his NBA draft rights.

Erie BayHawks acquire Jacob Evans, Omari Spellman

ERIE, PA – The Erie BayHawks have acquired two new players, guard Jacob Evans and forward Omari Spellman, as they prepare to head to Orlando for the start of the NBA G League season.

Erie added Evans (6-4, 210) to replace Jordan Bell who received a 10-day contract with the Washington Wizards as part of an NBA Call-Up. Bell was originally slated to play for Erie via a flex-affiliate agreement with the Wizards G League team, the Capital City Go-Go.

Erie acquired Spellman (6-8, 245) after waiving Rawle Alkins.
