>The second foreign reinforcement for ERA Basketball Nymburk is American Demetre Rivers. Small forward or power forward measuring 203 centimeters comes from Kaposvár KK, where he was one of the biggest stars of the Hungarian league. The 25-year-old native of South Carolina also worked in Estonia and in G League. He signed an annual contract with Nymburk.
“We are very happy that we managed to bring Demetre to Nymburk. I want to thank my partner Nun Pedros from Flex Basketball Management for their great cooperation and also the management of ERA Basketball Nymburk for quick negotiations,” said agent Jan Hubálek, who helped make the transfer. “Demetre had a great season in Hungary last year, which brought him a lot of offers and interest from all over Europe (Romania, Greece, Germany, France and others). Demetre was very appealing to Nymburk’s style of play and is convinced that it will fit perfectly into the game system. He will help to further success in BCL and become one of the team leaders, “he added.
Rivers is a graduate of Mercer University. In 2018, he went to the G League, where he wore the Maine Red Claws jersey, but soon left for Europe, where he was hired by the Estonian team Pärnu, with whom he won third place in the Estonian league. He then moved to Kaposvár, where he was the busiest player in the Hungarian league.
