Marko Arapovic inks with Krka Novo Mesto

Marko Arapović, the 207 cm tall power forward, has been born in 1996 in Zagreb, where he started his playing career. First he played for Kaptol, then he spent two years at Cibona. He then moved to Cedevita, where he stayed until 2018. Afterwards, Marko has become a member of Galatasaray.

With Cedevita he spent two seasons in the EuroLeague, while he played the EuroCup with Cibona, Cedevita and Galatasaray.

Marko Arapović successfully played for the youth national team categories. He won the first trophy in 2011, when he won the U16 European Championship, while he later won the U18 silver and bronze in 2013 and 2014. He won the U17 bronze and U19 silver at the 2012 and 2015 World Championships.

The surname Arapović has been linked to Krka for two decades. In 2001/02 season, Marko’s father Franjo has worn the Novo mesto side jersey.

“I am really happy to have signed with Krka. I cannot wait for the season to start. I have had a conversation with head coach Dalibor Damjanović. I am ready for everything that he expects from me and my team. I wish for us to have a successful and healthy season. I am happy to be playing for the club, for which I used to cheer as a child, when my father used to play here,” Arapović looks forward to moving to Novo mesto.

Hollis Thompson signs with Stings Mantova

After missing the 2020-21 season, former NBA and EuroLeague forward Hollis Thompson has signed a deal with Stings Mantova in the Italian Serie A2 for 2021-22, his agency, SLASH Sports, told Sportando.

Thompson has played over 250 games in the NBA with Philadelphia and New Orleans and spent one season with Olympiacos in the EuroLeague. He has also played in Germany and the NBA G League.

The Catalan powerhouse is also on the market for a small forward and the name on the list is Gabriel Deck.
The Argentinean left Real Madrid in the last months of the 2020-2021 season to join the Thunder.
OKC has till September to decide about the future of Deck before his contract becomes guaranteed.

Partizan reportedly close to sign Yam Madar to a 2-year deal

Partizan Belgrade is “very close” to sign Israeli rising star Yam Madar to a 2-year deal (with option to extend), as reported by MozzartSport. Serbian side will also pay a $250,000 buyout to Hapoel Tel Aviv in order to release the player.

Madar, who is currently playing in the NBA Summer League with the Boston Celtics, averaged 17.1 ppg and 5.2 apg last Winner League season

Levi Randolph joining Oostende

Former Alabama swingman Levi Randolph has signed a deal with Oostende of the new BNXT League and Basketball Champions League, agent Charles Misuraca of SLASH Sports told Sportando.

Randolph played last season in the NBA G League with the Canton Charge (12.9 PPG, 4 RPG in 15 games) and in the Australian NBL with the New Zealand Breakers (14.8 PPG, 3.4 RPG in 15 games).

Sean Armand signs with Fuenlabrada

Veteran guard Sean Armand has signed a deal with Fuenlabrada in the Spanish Liga ACB, agent Charles Misuraca of SLASH Sports told Sportando.

Armand played for Chalon in the French top division last season, averaging 16.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game.
