MHP Riesen Ludwisburg has announced the arrival of Justin Simon with a one-year contract.

The versatile and athletic swingman out of ST. John’s had started the season with Ratiopharm Ulm (13 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals per game).

Yesterday Simon made his debut with the new team scoring 10 points with 12 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks against Merlins Crailsheim.

Nobel Boungou-Colo joins Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans 92

Nobel Boungou-Colo signed a 6-week contract with Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans 92, the French team announced.

The experienced forward will replace the injured Bandja Sy.

Boungou-Colo spent last year in Pro B with Paris Basketball, averaging 11.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.

The French will replace Awudu Abass who tore the ACL in Serie A opening in Trento.

Point guard Will Cherry has reached an agreement on a deal with Romanian team U-BT Cluj Napoca of the Basketball Champions League, his agent Simone Di Trani told Sportando.

Cherry is coming off a short stint in Israel with Hapoel Eilat, with which he only appeared in one BCL qualifier game. The Israeli team and the player have terminated the contract, clearing the way for him to sign his new deal in Romania.

Cluj Napoca is in Group G of the Basketball Champions League group phase, with Turkey’s Darussafaka, Italy’s Brindisi, and Israel’s Hapoel Holon.

JL Bourg, Tyler Stone part ways

JL Bourg and Tyler Stone have decided, by mutual agreement, to end their collaboration.

Last year Stone averaged 10 points and 4.8 rebounds per game in BetClic Elite with Nanterre.

Jasmin Repesa has stepped down as head coach of Fortitudo Bologna after home loss against Pallacanestro Reggiana.

Repesa was ejected late in the game and he said he had tachycardia in the locker room.

“I apologize to the club and the players for the ejection. Mazzoni is a referee I love, I treat him as an experienced referee, as well as Silvia who made a decisive decision. I have been in pain like a dog to get the club right, but after this match I was sick in the locker room with a tachycardia attack. I quit. Fortitudo is the first and true love and my life. I can’t continue anymore. You know that when I make a decision I don’t change it anymore”.
