Kosta Koufos reportedly joining NBA G League Ignite

Kosta Koufos returns to the States to play with NBA G League Ignite.

According to Marc Stein, the player had several offers from European clubs on the table.

The 32-year-old big man has played 11 seasons in NBA.

Last year Koufos played 8 games (4.6 points, 2.2 rebounds) in Euroleague with Olympiacos.

Panathinaikos lands Yogi Ferrell

Panathinaikos OPAP Athens added another weapon to its backcourt on Sunday by signing Yogi Ferrell for the remainder of the season. Ferrell (1.83 meters, 28 years old) has spent the past five seasons in the NBA, where he played for Brooklyn, Dallas, Cleveland, Sacramento and Los Angeles Clippers. For his career he averaged 7.7 points and 2.3 assists in 259 games. Ferrell also spent time in the G-League with Long Island and Salt Lake City. He was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team in 2017. Ferrell will make his European basketball debut with Panathinaikos.

Hapoel Jerusalem reportedly keeping Anthony Bennett until the end of the season

Hapoel Jerusalem has decided not to exercise the option to release Anthony Bennett, Roi Cohen reports.
Now the Canadian big man is under contract until the end of the season.

Bennett made his BCL debut scoring 22 points (5/8 3P) with 8 rebounds in 23 minutes against Pinar Karsiyaka.

Yogi Ferrell reportedly joining Panathinaikos

According to SDNA, Panathinaikos has reached an agreement with Yogi Ferrell.

The former Indiana playmaker will make his European debut after 5 seasons in NBA with career averages of 7.7 points and 2.3 assists.

Fortitudo Kigili Bologna reportedly interested in Jabril Durham

Fortitudo Kigili Bologna continues to work to add a player to the backcourt.
According to BolognaBasket.org, the Italian club would be interested in Jabril Durham, a point guard out of Arkansas who started the season in Germany with the Hamburg Towers.

Last year Durham recorded averages of 12.3 points, 6.3 assists and 1.6 steals per game between the Belgian league and the FIBA Europe Cup with Belfius Mons-Hainaut.

Frankie Ferrari leaves Brose Bamberg, ends his career due to health reasons

Brose Bamberg announced that Frankie Ferrari has applied for his release because he decided to end his career due to health reasons.

Brose complied with the request and wishes Ferrari all the best for the future. The 25-year-old has already said goodbye to the team and is returning to the US.

Frankie Ferrari: “I would like to thank the entire Brose organization for welcoming me last month. I really enjoyed my time in Bamberg with my teammates, coaches and the rest of the team. I really enjoyed playing under coach Johan. Now I’m looking forward to the next chapter in my life. I wish everyone a lot of success for the future”.

MoraBanc Andorra reportedly in talks with Gal Mekel

According to Alex Madrid of Eurohoops, MoraBanc Andorra is negotiating with Gal Mekel.

The experienced Israeli point guard spent last season with Unicaja Malaga, scoring 6.4 points and 3.5 assists per game between ACB and Eurocup.

 

CSKA Moscow announces Kenneth Faried

Kenneth Faried is a new player of CSKA Moscow.

The power forward signed a two-month deal  with an option to extend until the end of the season.

Faried will join the team immediately after completing the documents required to enter Russia.

 

Dakari Johnson returning to Qingdao Eagles in China

Former Kentucky center Dakari Johnson has signed back with the Qingdao Eagles in China on a multi-million dollar deal, sources told Sportando.

The 2021-22 season will be Johnson’s fourth year in China with the Eagles. In 2020-21, he averaged 21.2 points, 12.3 rebounds, 1.4 blocks per game. He became the first player in CBA history to post a stat line of 20+ points, 20+ rebounds, 10+ blocks, and 5+ assists in a single game, and also joined Chinese legend Yao Ming as the only two players to post a 20+20+5+5+5 stat line in league history (h/t Sina Sports).

Hayden Dalton reaches agreement with JL Bourg

Former Wyoming forward Hayden Dalton has reached an agreement on a deal with French club JL Bourg of the Betclic Elite and EuroCup, his agency, SLASH Sports, told Sportando.

Dalton played the last two seasons with Nymburk in the Czech Republic. In 2020-21, he averaged around 10 points and six rebounds per game on 49/39/87 shooting splits in the Czech NBL and Basketball Champions League.

The news was reported by JD Shaw.

The former Arizona has scored 30 total points in two BBL games.

The French guard signed an agreement until June 30, 2023.

After 10 years the native of Zadar returns to his home club.

Beasley will replace Frank Gaines.

The guard has been selected with the 2nd overall pick in 2008 NBA draft and has played with Heat, Timberwolves, Suns, Rockets, Knicks, Bucks and Lakers, his last team in 2019.

Pau Gasol announces he is ending his playing career

Pau Gasol has officially retired after 19 seasons in the NBA and a return to Barcelona alast season.
The Spanish big man announced the decision during a press conference.
Gasol won two NBA titles with the Lakers, has been six times All-Star.
With Spain’s NT he won World Cup in Japan in 2006, he won three Eurobasket plus two silver medal and a bronze medal.
And he was twice silver medalist at Olympics plus a bronze.

Le Mans Sarthe inks Taylor Rochestie

Le Mans Sarthe has announced the return of Taylor Rochestie.

The veteran point guard played with the French team in the 2011-12 season (16.2 ppg, 6.4 apg).

Rochestie spent last year between KK Crvena Zvedza and Hapoel Haifa.

According to Roi Cohen, Anthony Bennett will most likely leave Hapoel Jerusalem after next Wednesday’s BCL game against Pinar Karsiyaka.

The reporter adds that the Israeli team has not yet started looking for a replacement the first overall pick of the 2013 NBA Draft.
