The former Wyoming big man started the season with Brose Bamberg, playing just 25 minutes in 3 games.

Cooke Jr produced over 8 points and 6 rebounds per game with Tsmoki-Minsk last year.

Hapoel Eilat, Israeli club participating in the Winner League and FIBA Europe Cup, is attempting to buy AJ English out of his contract in Poland, sources told Sportando and Israel Hayom.

English has had a hot start to the season in Poland with HydroTruck Radom as he’s leading the league in scoring with 21.9 points per game on 47.5% from the field and 44.1% from three.

Former Ohio State point guard Shannon Scott has reached an agreement with Brose Bamberg of the German BBL, sources told Sportando. The team was active on the market to add depth to their backcourt after Frankie Ferrari decided to leave and retire from professional basketball due to health reasons.

Scott spent the 2020-21 season in the NBA G League with the Long Island Nets, averaging 4.3 points, 4.3 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game in the Orlando bubble. He has also played in Greece, Venezuela and Lithuania during his career.

MKS Dabrowa Gornicza, Nic Moore part ways

The former SMU point guard produced averages of 10.9 points, 3.6 assists and 1.5 steals in 7 games.

GeVi Napoli Basket President Federico Grassi revealed to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli that Josh Mayo will leave the team after the next game.

“Unfortunately, he has to return to the United States for family problems, he asked for his release and we, of course, granted it because the family comes first. I want to thank Mayo for everything he has done with us. Once again he proved to be a great professional because he decided to stay for Sunday’s game, avoiding leaving us without an important player”.

Mayo played in 4 LBA games, with averages of  11.2 points and 2.5 assist.

Grassi added that the team is working on replacing Mayo as soon as possible.

Devyn Marble signing with MKS Dabrowa Gornicza

Former NBA second-round pick Devyn Marble is signing a deal with MKS Dabrowa Gornicza in Poland, sources told Sportando.

Marble spent most of the 2020-21 season in the VTB League with PBC Astana, before moving to Israel to play briefly for Maccabi Haifa. He has also played in Greece and Italy during his career overseas.

Marble has appeared in 44 games in the NBA with the Orlando Magic during the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons.

Former Akron forward Quincy Diggs has parted ways with Swiss team Fribourg Olympic and is joining Sopron KC in Hungary, a source told Sportando.

Diggs played five games for Fribourg, including two in the Basketball Champions League qualifying round, averaging 4.2 points and three rebounds in 18.5 minutes.

Last season, he averaged 14 points, 5.4 rebounds and four assists per game in Austria for Redwell Gunners Oberwart.

Vladimir Stimac to sign with new CBA Team Ningbo

New CBA team Ningbo is expected to sign Vladimir Stimac, a source told Emiliano Carchia of Sportando.

Last year the veteran big man  played in China with Qingdao, scoring 9.3ppg and 7.9rpg in just 14 minutes per game.

Stimac played also 11 games in BSL for Bahcesehir Koleji, averaging 16.3 points with 9.6 rebounds.

Illawarra Hawks sign Xavier Rathan-Mayes to complete roster

he Illawarra Hawks are pleased to announce the signing of Canadian guard Xavier Rathan-Mayes for the 2021/22 NBL season. 

The 27-year-old lands at the Hawks after recently completing a season at Romanian club BC CSU Sibiu – and has stops at NBA clubs, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Memphis Grizzlies on his resume. 

Rathan-Mayes has also spent time at NBA G-League outfits the Agua Caliente Clippers, the Texas Legends and the Westchester Knicks – and represented Canada at world youth level. 

Rathan-Mayes will be the club’s third and final import, replacing Travis Trice who mutually agreed to part ways with the club due to COVID-19 related issues.
