Maccabi Tel Aviv is expected to fire coach Ioannis Sfairopoulos if the Israeli powerhouse will lose the EuroLeague game against Monaco, Roi Cohen reports.

Sfairopoulos will keep his job if Maccabi wins but he will have another hurdle in Winner League against Hapoel Jerusalem in the next days.

Maccabi Tel Aviv has a 7-10 record in EuroLeague so far and is out of the playoffs.

The Mississippi State product confirmed the news speaking after the game won against Iraklis.

According to Orazio Cauchi of Basketnews, Olimpia Milan swingman Shavon Shields is expected to undergo surgery on his right hand due to the injury he suffered during the last minute of yesterday’s game against Real Madrid.

The reporter adds that the Nebraska product will be out at least one month.

Shields was producing 12.5 points, 4 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game in Euroleague, shooting 43% from the field, 36% from threes and 80% from the free throw line.
