Rudy Fernandez has announced his retirement from basketball, having decided a few months ago to retire at the end of this season. On his social channels, the now former Spanish player posted a moving farewell letter, accompanied by a video in which he retraces some magical moments of his career.
“With this video ends an incredible journey, a journey that I never thought I would live until I was 39 years old as a professional basketball player.
I retire with the feeling that I was an important player for every team or club I played for.
I never dreamed that I would fly so fast, so high, and compete one-on-one with anyone in front of me. I will miss you on the field, but now I have to forge a new path and be with my family more than ever. But I will always enjoy this wonderful sport.
Thank you all for flying by my side”.
Con este video termina un viaje increíble, un viaje que ni mucho menos pensaba vivir hasta los 39 años como jugador profesional de BALONCESTO.
Me RETIRO con la sensación de haber sido un jugador comprometido con cada equipo o club en el que he estado.
