Russell Westbrook is expected to miss at least the first few games of the Houston Rockets’ first round series with a strained right quad, according to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.
Westbrook woke up sore on Wednesday and underwent an MRI. Former MVP had not had any trouble with the injury during Tuesday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs or immediately after. The MRI revealed a strain severe enough to rule him out for at least several days. Westbrook underwent offseason knee surgery in 2019.
