Rob Pelinka thought Mavs GM Nico Harrison was joking when he offered Luka Doncic

Nico Harrison, GM of the Dallas Mavericks, told The News that he and Rob Pelinka started having “basketball” conversations more than a month ago.

“Then all of a sudden we’re like, ‘Would you ever do this?’

‘Nah, you’re joking, right?’

‘Hmm. Interesting. Maybe I would.

No, Harrison wasn’t joking. He really did.
