Iona coach Rick Pitino has confirmed to the New York Times his intent to coach Greece NT at the Olympic Qualifying Tournament scheduled in Canada from June 29th to July 4th.
Pitino was appointed as Greek NT coach during his experience with Panathinaikos and later confirmed his commitment once he returned to the NCAA to coach Iona. Greece will not have two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo if he will advance far in the NBA playoffs.
