Rick Carlisle: The winning team writes the script

The Indiana Pacers stunned the Cavaliers in Game 5 with another comeback win to reach the Eastern Conference Finals

After trailing by 19 points, the Pacers surged back to beat Cleveland 114-105 and close the series 4-1. “The winning team writes the script,” said head coach Rick Carlisle, praising his players for their resilience.

Tyrese Haliburton led the charge with 31 points, supported by Pascal Siakam with 21. Indiana outscored Cleveland 33-20 in the third quarter, completing the comeback and controlling the fourth. “We weathered the storm,” Haliburton said.

Cleveland shot just 38.9% from the field, and despite 35 points from Mitchell, they lost all three home games. Indiana now awaits the winner of Knicks vs. Celtics, aiming for redemption after last year’s sweep.
