Umana Reyer is pleased to announce the signing of Kyle Wiltjer.
Born in Portland (USA) on October 20, 1992, standing at 208 centimeters tall and weighing 109 kilograms, Kyle Wiltjer attended Jesuit High School in Beaverton, Oregon, USA, before playing for the Kentucky Wildcats (from 2011 to 2013, winning the NCAA title in 2012) and the Gonzaga Bulldogs (2014–2016) in college.
In 2016, he played in the Summer League with the Houston Rockets, where he later signed and made his NBA debut. He then spent part of the season with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the G League affiliate team.
After a brief stint with the Raptors 905, the Toronto G League team, Wiltjer signed with Olympiacos Piraeus, reaching the EuroLeague quarterfinals while shooting 46% from three-point range during the season.
In the following season, he played for Unicaja Malaga, reaching the Eurocup quarterfinals. In the 2019-2021 biennium, he had two significant seasons with Türk Telekom in the Turkish league and the Champions League, averaging 18.5 points, 6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game in the second year, shooting 44.3% from three.
In the 2021/22 season, he won the Champions League with Lenovo Tenerife, playing 36 league games and finishing as the best three-point shooter in the Liga ACB with 47.8%!
In October 2022, he signed with the Zhejiang Lions in China, where he played 48 games, averaging 16.4 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists per game.
Since 2015, he has been part of the Canadian National Team and participated in the World Cup in China in 2019, averaging 16.4 points per game.
