Report: LaMelo Ball uninjured after car crash in downtown Charlotte

The Charlotte Hornets point guard was not hurt after a two-car collision Wednesday, per a person familiar with the situation. Charlotte hosts the Houston Rockets on Thursday night coming out of the All-Star break

A person familiar with the situation said LaMelo Ball was not injured after being involved in a two-car crash in downtown Charlotte on Wednesday. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to discuss details.

A police report was not immediately available. Video obtained by WSOC-TV showed Ball’s camouflage-colored, custom-made Hummer colliding at an intersection shortly before 5 p.m., with the truck later seen missing its left front tire.

The Hornets practiced earlier in the day and return Thursday night at home against Houston. The report also notes Charlotte has seen other pro athletes involved in car crashes in recent years.

LaMelo Ball was in a car accident this Wednesday afternoon in Uptown Charlotte.
