As the first ACB club to surpass the 200,000-point mark in the Spanish basketball league, Real Madrid created history.
Los Blancos accomplished this after defeating FC Barcelona 73-71 in the Liga Endesa Clasico.
The renowned and unheard-of milestone of 200,000 points was easily surpassed with the 73 points earned in the Clásico. After playing in the top league for 69 seasons, Real Madrid achieved this milestone. They now have 200,010 points overall.
Real Madrid played 2,295 games over almost 70 years to reach this remarkable total. The 200,000 points were split up across the top division’s several eras as follows, as per Basketnews:
- 54,694 points in the National League era
- 145,316 points in the ACB era
