Olympiacos Piraeus star Georgios Printezis has supported Greece’s efforts to combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus by donating two portable ventilators to Syros General Hospital.
Printezis, who is in his 15th EuroLeague season with Olympiacos, was born and raised on the island of Syros, which is located 150 kilometers south-east of Piraeus, and the 35 year-old has moved quickly to help his home island by funding this important medical equipment.
It follows last week’s announcement that the club’s owners, Panagiotis and Giorgos Angelopoulos, have donated one million euros to Greece’s health service for the provision of equipment for intensive care units.
