Olympiacos has decided to retire the number 15 jersey of Georgios Printezis, a true club legend. The player retired in the 2022 season after winning the Greek title with his second family, Olympiacos, which announced the day of the ceremony in his honor. In fact, on September 6, 2024, the Greek team will pay tribute to its icon, a date not chosen at random, as it will be the date of the former player’s birthday.
Printezis was the author of the iconic basket that gave his Olympiacos team the title in the 2011-12 EuroLeague finals against CSKA Moscow in Istanbul.
