Positive cases of COVID-19 detected in Zalgiris

Arturas Milaknis, Tai Webster and Paulius Jankunas returned positive results.

Zalgiris has been struck by three cases of COVID-19. After testing on Monday and Tuesday, Arturas Milaknis, Tai Webster and Paulius Jankunas returned positive results.

The green-and-whites were going through customary testing before the King Mindaugas Cup game against CBet Jonava and the EuroLeague game against Fenerbahce.

Besides the three positive cases for Milaknis, Webster and Jankunas, additional testing did not reveal any other positive results in the team. All three players are now in self-isolation and will miss the upcoming games.

According to the current EuroLeague COVID-19 safety protocols, approved by respective Lithuanian institutions, vaccinated team members do not need to self-isolate if they receive negative test results.

The green-and-whites will still take court in the King Mindaugas Cup Quarterfinal return leg in Garliava on Tuesday evening.
