Pistons Set Franchise Record with 42-Point Halftime Lead in 132-92 Rout of Bulls

Beasley’s record-breaking night leads Detroit to its most dominant win of the season

The Detroit Pistons made history with a commanding 132-92 victory over the Chicago Bulls, setting a franchise record for the largest halftime lead at +42 (71-29), surpassing their previous mark from 1969.

Malik Beasley was on fire, hitting 7 of 10 three-pointers to set a new franchise record with 212 threes in a single season. Cade Cunningham contributed with 20 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds, leading the Pistons to their third consecutive win.

“What I’m most proud of is that we kept pushing even with the big lead,” Beasley said.

The Bulls struggled mightily, missing their first 20 three-point attempts and shooting just 35% overall. Coach Billy Donovan admitted: “It’s embarrassing. We didn’t give our fans anything to cheer for.”
