Partizan isn’t halting their market activity and appears poised to bring in another reinforcement: Mateusz Ponitka. The Polish forward, who impressed in the last EuroBasket, could be the Adriatic League champions’ first summer acquisition unless there are unforeseen developments.
Ponitka, who has also attracted the attention of Maccabi Tel Aviv, was a standout in the last EuroBasket, achieving a triple-double against Slovenia in the quarterfinals with 26 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists. In the tournament, he maintained an average of 13.4 points, 5.7 assists, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.6 steals.
With Panathinaikos, the team with which he signed a contract at the behest of Dejan Radonjić, the forward had an average of 8.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in the EuroLeague, starting in six out of the 27 matches played.
In the meantime, the arrival of Ognjen Jaramaz is expected, who has agreed to his transfer to Partizan.
