Australia will be among the teams competing in Group A basketball at the 2024 Paris Olympics, but they have decided to pass on Ben Simmons. In fact, the former first round pick of the 2016 NBA Draft was not included in the preliminary list of 22 players by coach Brian Goorjian. Ben Simmons has not worn his national team’s jersey since 2013, and he also opted out of Australia’s expedition to the Tokyo Olympics.
However, the Australian preliminary roster boasts the presence of Dante Exum, Josh Giddey, Joe Ingles, Patty Mills and a total of 10 NBA players.
