The first quarter is quite balanced, with Germany trying to give the first push with Daniel Theis bringing himself to +8, but Japan reacts thanks to five points in a row by Yoshii. In the last part of the first period, the balance continues, with the Asians coming back to -2 thanks to Watanabe’s baskets, before the mini-partial signed by Moritz Wagner that signed the 28-21 at the end of the first period.
In the second quarter, an excellent Isaac Bonga brought Germany back to +8, but Hawkinson and Hachimura tried to keep their teammates in touch.
