Panathinaikos is making waves on the market following owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos’ promise to “come back stronger next season.”

After securing Shorts, the club is reportedly determined to bring center Georgios Papagiannis back to Greece, according to BasketNews.

The 27-year-old big man — selected 13th overall in the 2016 NBA Draft — has spent the majority of his career with Panathinaikos, aside from a brief stint in the NBA early on and the last two seasons with Fenerbahce and AS Monaco.

In the EuroLeague, Papagiannis averaged 7.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in 16 minutes per game, playing a key role with 17 points in 18 minutes during Game 5 of the series against Barcelona.
