Coviran Granada has officially signed Omar Silverio, a 26-year-old Dominican guard (190 cm), to help cover the absences of Gian Clavell and Agustín Ubal.
Born in New York but holding Dominican nationality, Silverio played at Rhode Island, Hofstra, and Manhattan before stints with Soles de Mexicali and Hapoel Galil, where he averaged 14.7 points per game in the 2023/24 season. In January, he had a brief spell with Surne Bilbao Basket, appearing in three Liga Endesa games and three FIBA Europe Cup matches, averaging 7.7 points in the latter.
He is set to arrive in Granada today and will begin training with Pablo Pin’s squad tomorrow in preparation for Sunday’s game against Hiopos Lleida.
