Olimpia will face the defending champions of Efes in the Euroleague Playoffs

The EuroLeague playoffs will begin on April 19, next Tuesday. For Olimpia it is the second consecutive qualification. Once again Olimpia will have the “theoretical” advantage of the home court. It happened both in 2014 (1-3 against Maccabi) and in 2021 (3-2 against Bayern). Olimpia will face the defending champions of Anadolu Efes Istanbul. Should Olimpia win the series, the team would face the winner of the Olympiacos-AS Monaco series in the Belgrade semifinal game. The formula is the traditional one, the best of five series is played according to the 2-2-1 format, with Game 5, if necessary, to be played on Wednesday 4 May at the Mediolanum Forum. The two teams faced each other 32 times in the past, with Efes leading the all-time series 20-12, but Olimpia has prevailed in all the last four games.
