Olimpia Milan has reached a multi year deal with Leandro Bolmaro

Olimpia Milan has reached a multi year deal with Leandro Bolmaro, a 1.98 mt tall guard, born on 11 September 2000 in Las Varillas in Argentina and coming from Bayern Munich.

CAREER – Bolmaro began playing for Almafuerte, in Las Varillas, a city in the province of Cordoba, Argentina. In 2017 he moved to Bahia Blanca to play for Estudiantes. After a year, Bolmaro moved again to Barcelona who in turn used him in the second team in Spain (10.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists on average). In 2019/20 he played both with the first team and with the reserves (14.9 points and 3.6 assists on average). In the 2020/21 season he played steadily with the first team with 30 EuroLeague appearances including the Final Four in Cologne (26 minutes on the court in the semi-final game against Olimpia and 25 in the championship game against Efes) and 33 in the Liga with 6.4 points per game, 45.3 percent on three-pointers. In 2020/21 he won both the Copa del Rey and the Spanish league. At the end of that season, he exercised the option to exit the contract and move to the NBA to Minnesota who had acquired his rights after the 2020 draft (he was chosen at number 23 by New York). Bolmaro played two years in the NBA first at Minnesota and then at Utah with 49 appearances on the court. In 2023 he finished the season in Spain in Tenerife and spent the last season playing for Bayern Munich (8.4 points and 3.4 assists on average in the EuroLeague with 30 appearances, 28 of them as a starter) winning the German title (7.7 points and 2.8 assists on average, 38.5 percent on threes) and the German Cup.

NOTES – He played in the 2018 Hoop Summit, the match between the best 18-year-olds from America and the rest of the world. With Argentina he played in the 2021 Olympics and won the gold medal at the 2022 Tournament of the Americas.
