Olimpia Milano dominates Tortona, wins 8th Coppa Italia in club history

With a strong defensive performance Olimpia Milano wins its 8th Coppa Italia (a joint Italian record with Treviso and Virtus Bologna) after beating newcomer Derthona Tortona 78-61. A game led almost wire-to-wire saw Milano holding off its opponent comeback at the end of the 3rd (Milano led 53-47 after 30′) giving Ettore Messina the 9th Coppa Italia of his illustrous career.

Malcom Delaney was chosen as the tournament’s MVP, while Nicolò Melli had a team-high 14 points, 9 rebounds performance. Devon Hall added 12 while JP Macura’s game-high 17 points weren’t enough for a Tortona side who deserves lots of praises
