FIRST QUARTER
Olimpia Milano trailed 20-9 after a 12-0 run had brought the Greeks to 18-3. Milan had only one field goal in the first 8 minutes, going 1/10 from the field at one point compared to the opponent’s 6/11. Sikma came into the game and contributed 4 points to initiate the comeback, then triples from Larentzakis and Walkup extended the gap. For Milan, field goals came from Mirotic, Poythress, and Hall.
SECOND QUARTER
Olimpia returned to being down by 15, but then a 10-0 run (5 points from Shields and 5 from Bortolani) brought them back. After 20 minutes, it was 37-29, with Olimpia having 9 points from Shields but shooting 7/17 from 2 and 3/13 from 3.
THIRD QUARTER
Olimpia Milano had two runs, 9-0 and 13-0, winning the quarter 13-28 and taking a substantial lead. The final score was 50-57, with statistics favoring Olimpia against an Olympiacos team that faltered. The Pangos-Hines duo was inspiring in the end.
